Are the countries Trump called ****holes undesirable places to live, work or retire in?

Yes. That is why their citizens left in the first place.
No. Those are great places. I plan on visiting, working, or retiring there with my savings.
Don't know.

I say yes. I don't see people fleeing by the hundred thousands into those countries for better lives. I am no Trump fan but he is right about those countries being ****holes. If they weren't ****holes then their citizens wouldn't be here in the first place.

There are many quantifiable metrics by which you can measure these countries and accurately summarize them as "****holes". Is it crass? Yes. Is it necessarily wrong in simplest terms? Absolutely not.

It's the truth... they are ****holes...
Though I find it very undiplomatic to say so...

This is a case where anti-PC backfires a little bit... though, it's no like it was a speech or anything... I bet it was meant to be internal dialog, rather than a nationwide proclamation that these countries are ****holes.

I don't like people using exerpts of internal dialog to try to take down the presidency, when the the dialog in question is actually true... just undiplomatic to say

I bet there is a lot of damning internal dialog among our military expeditions into the Middle-East...where if you took those statements and made them as if they were a national announcement.
Or even the internal dialog in political party meetings.

It depends on what metrics you define a "****hole" as. Certain parts of the US are "****holes" as well.. certain parts of Denmark are "****holes".

However, no leader of a country should be saying that on record ever... because of the backlash that can happen. Is Haiti a "****hole".. sure, but so is Alabama and Alaska.

Which countries are we referring to here, specifically?

There are numerous and myriad reasons why third-world countries are not among the elite G20.

Looking at the poll options, I consider this a sophomoric bait poll.

It is all relative. Trump says he wants more people from Norway but many of them probably think the US is a ****hole. And relative to Norway they may have a case.

The issue is it doesn’t advance anyone’s interests for a President to talk that way.

I do wonder if the same folks beside themselves now would be fine if someone else said it about the US.

Your intention to excuse the president's racism by obtaining a DP consensus poll vote that Haiti and other countries named by Trump are "****hole" countries doesn't make the trip. You may not be originally from South Carolina or if you are you may not know, or maybe it is convenient for you to have forgotten, that South Carolina was settled and built by dirt poor immigrants who came from what you and your man Trump might have defined as "****holes" at the time. They were primarily Africans, Scots-Irish, Irish and German.

For many who settled South Carolina there was little hope of ever achieving equality, respect, education or gainful employment in their native countries.

Opportunities in America should never be about where you came from but rather what you do when you get here. Trump, you and the rest of Trump's base would maintain otherwise. Trump, you and the rest of Trump's base are wrong.

This fake cry of racist is nothing but a lib-tard tactic of trying to silence your political enemies. There is nothing racist about calling a **** hole country a **** hole. Lets not kid out selves here.Tourists are not flocking to these countries. These are rich people getaways. People are not illegally sneaking into these countries by hundred thousands to make a better life for themselves. No one saving up a bunch of money so they can move to those countries and retire there. If the Show Life Styles of the Rich and Famous was still on air then the only rich peoples houses they would show there would be the dictator's,despot's, some corrupt government official's mansion or maybe head honcho of a cartel or a wealthy warlord's mansion. The only reason American celebrities would visit those places is to do some sort of pet charity work so they can make their fans think they are not rich stuck up snobs.

Haiti, El Salvador, and what ever other countries we have refugees from that apparently the dems and republicans tried to give longer stays to in the so called immigration reform compromise to.Don't know exactly because there is no audio of it.

We are talking overall. Because I am sure the "president" of Haiti, El Salvador, and the other countries Trump has allegedly called ****holes are pretty nice places. But that doesn't mean the overall country is not a ****hole.
Is Haiti a "****hole".. sure, but so is Alabama and Alaska.
I am pretty sure Alabama and Alaska overall are not ****holes while Haiti overall(except for where Haiti's president lives) is a ****hole.

Trump resonates with you. I get that. Unfortunately for you, Trump is inept. He is myopic, incapable of seeing the big picture.

I see its the he doesn't agree with me so he must be a Trump supporter nonsense.

President Trump wasn't talking about Alabama or Alaska. Those would be states. So you are agreeing with our President.

As for definition, one would be a country with hundreds of thousands trying to get out and none trying to get in.

It's incredible that we can't have a discussion about the fact that, you know, he didn't say anything wrong. It was a vulgar term, sure, but he wasn't in public. It's a good question, and one that we should all be asking: why are we taking immigrants from these countries? How does this help us?

But the only time we'll get honest discussion of immigration is when the media can complain about Russian anchor babies.

What part of the US is comparable to Haiti?

Trump according to the Wapo article was referring to Haiti, El Salvador, and certain African countries. "Certain parts of the U S" does not meet the criteria.

President Trump did not say that on record. Durban claims he did so in a closed meeting.

I know people from Haiti that say, "I'll never go back to that **** hole, Trump is right, but not PC." They said the last bit with a smirk.

You really dont know your own country eh?

It was an official meeting and hence on the record. Closed or not.

Yeah, they're ****holes alright.

But, so is Trump's mouth. So.....

LOL!

"Certain parts of the U S" are not countries.

I don't know if the meeting was closed not. If it was closed then Durban had no business divulging what was said.
