Since when are Republicans protectionists? And the suppliers of labor will likely be angry at you, for taking away their cheap labor. So, either the job doesn't get done and they go out of business. Or, they pay a decent wage and increase their prices to compensate. Dumbass domestic policy, really.

Chappelle is not a hack, only a hack would think that a comedian making wisecracks against their preferred candidate is politically motivated.

Also Trump and the GOP are owned lock, stock, and barrel by the rich. So, Chappelle being a rich person, was right. Trump went to Washington to fight for him and other rich people. And benefit to blue collar America is spillover from policies designed to benefit the rich. The lobbyists and donors write the legislation. Otherwise the Democratic ammendment requiring corporations to create jobs, otherwise bye-bye tax cuts, would have made it into the tax bill. But, the donors don't want to be held accountable to the purported reason for the bill: jobs. Because the tax bill is not designed to create jobs. That Democratic amendment would have created tenfold the jobs that the bill can call its own.
 
All I can say is ... never give Trump a free pass. Never accept that his personal narcissism, petty retributions, and obscene vulgarity is the new normal.

Now, a more reasonable critique would be "this is grossly inappropriate for a President and it is risky, but it is unlikely to cause the apocalypse."

Personally, I am surprised that he governs more conservatively than a conservative. I get it he is not your cup of tea, but from my view, he is doing just fine. As for new taxes next year on the middle class, I presume you are being facetious. The Republicans would be committing suicide if they even thought of it.

As you know I have a service connected hearing loss. It's a disability and most people who know me would tell you, "That sumbitch can't hear for ****." It's a fact of life that there are just some places you nor any other sane person would want me to work like being a police dispatcher, or maybe a sonar operator on a nuclear submarine. LOL!

If you discovered that I somehow got a job as maybe a 911 operator down there in Glynn County I imagine you'd be rather uncomfortable depending on me to be the local lifeline in an emergency. You might take the initiative to have my hard of hearing butt evaluated and reassigned if I failed the hearing tests at least. Who wouldn't?

Well, I can answer that. Apparently all Trump supporters and most card carrying members of the GOP. They wouldn't. They wouldn't say a word even if lives might depend on it.

I said this before but it continues to amaze me that most people in America, very much including Trump people and the GOP, often agree that Kim Jung Un is as crazy as a road lizard. The guy is unstable. Most people agree. But, who did the psych evals on Kim Jung Un? No one we know of. Yet, these same people will defend Trump's weird and getting weirder behavior by saying "there's no proof", "show me a medical report." :roll:

I SAW IT MYSELF, and so did anyone who had some of the very first early "Big Ugly Dish" backyard satellite TV receivers.

I sat there watching the unscripted and unsupervised unmanned White House camera feed for about fifteen minutes before the press conference started.
Around the twelve minute mark they fiddled with the color bars for a moment and tweaked the onboard audio a little, then left the camera locked down.
And then they ushered him over to the Presidential podium.
And he stood there, EXACTLY the WAY LESLIE STAHL described in the article in MJ:



He stood there, as blank as a zombie for a full five minutes.
My God, I watched the man pick his nose and stare into space while they yelled his name three times.
"Fifteen seconds Mister President!" "Ten seconds Mister President!" "Five seconds Mister President!"

And then suddenly, a second or two before they pointed to him, it was like a switch turned on inside him, and the old Death Valley Days host was able to remember his lines.
It was the scariest and most unsettling public thing I'd seen a president do, until this latest abomination showed up last year.
The difference is, I felt sorry for Reagan.
I didn't like him but I still sort of respected him, he WAS the President, after all.
