It's a great question. We know now that Paul Manafort & Richard Gates have been indicted on Russian money laundering in Russian owned banks on the island of Cyprus.

Recently Mueller subpoenaed banking records from Deutsche bank regarding Trump's business--which has paid out 100's of millions in fines for Russian money laundering. When Maddow uses the sharpy in this video as an example, I think of Trump hotel's, golf courses, and casino's he owns around the world.

Trump has always refused to release any income tax returns.

Trump has continually praised Vladimir Putin.

While Trump was running for POTUS he was planning on building an expansive Trump tower in downtown Moscow.

While Donald Trump was running for president in late 2015 and early 2016, his company was pursuing a plan to develop a massive Trump Tower in Moscow, according to several people familiar with the proposal and new records reviewed by Trump Organization lawyers. As part of the discussions, a Russian-born real estate developer urged Trump to come to Moscow to tout the proposal and suggested that he could get President Vladimir Putin to say “great things” about Trump, according to several people who have been briefed on his correspondence.

And just yesterday we learned about this Michael Flynn text message that was done while Donald Trump was being sworn into office.

WASHINGTON — Michael T. Flynn, President Trump’s former national security adviser, told a former business associate that economic sanctions against Russia would be “ripped up” as one of the Trump administration’s first acts, according to an account by a whistle-blower made public on Wednesday. Mr. Flynn believed that ending the sanctions could allow a business project he had once participated in to move forward, according to the whistle-blower. The account is the strongest evidence to date that the Trump administration wanted to end the sanctions immediately, and suggests that Mr. Flynn had a possible economic incentive for the United States to forge a closer relationship with Russia.

I am beginning to think that this entire Presidency was for nothing more than to expand the Trump empire into Russia. I think Trump owes Russian Oligarchs more than what he is worth, which is why he has continually refused to release his income tax returns.

No partisan votes please. Watch the video's & read the links FIRST before voting, then vote in an honest manner.

Oh, stop it. As long as you massage his ego, you can manipulate that callow idiot Trump into anything.

Trump loves Putin because he's an authoritarian, and Trump is an authoritarian.

Trump is the biggest puppet even more so than the ones on Sesame Street. Sad that trump supporters are dumber than rocks to realize it.

When Trump is not only verifiably neck deep in Russian interests, but so are everyone he surrounds himself with, the logical conclusion is that Trump will do anything to protect Russian interests.

It's amazing to me. I vividly remember the end of the Cold War; I remember somewhat when we actually did nuclear attack drills in our classrooms. The Russians were the enemy. Now, it appears the president of the United States cares more about Russia than he does about America.

Slaves to their egos never muster the mastery at life skills that Trump has.

It's a great question.

No, it is kinda a stupid question. Assuming that Trump was aided in the election as is likely, that still does not make him "owned" by the Russians. Are you "owned" by any one who has ever done you favors? Over the top hyperbole makes any point you might want to make about Trump and his relationship with Russia weaker instead of stronger.

What "mastery at life skills"? Briefings have to be reduced to pictures because the man refuses to read anything longer than a few paragraphs. His subordinates insert his name into briefings because he's more likely to read them if he sees his name pop up often. He eats like a teenager but he's 72. He thinks exercise is bad for you.

Are you really going to sit there and tell me that Trump isn't an unbelievable ego-driven person?

I don't think Trump is "owned" by the Russians in the sense that he thinks they're going to break his ankles with a sledgehammer and chuck him into the Potomac; I think he's owned by the Russians in that they kiss his ass (tokenly, with no actual detriment to them) knowing full well that's all he wants, and he'll bend over backwards to help them because they do it, because that will keep them doing it, and all Donald Trump wants, in the end, is to have his ass kissed into perpetuity.

Donald Trump would take it easy on Hitler if Hitler told him he had a great head of hair.

How did you ever miss that there is a Rebellion against the intelligentsia on?

Trump beat all of the Washington pros of both Divisions.

I suggest that you show your respects.

You apparently didn't watch any of the video's, especially the one regarding Duetsche bank, which would have explained it. So you're responding with a lack of information & knowledge right off of the bat.

Many CNN viewers posting on this thread. There is an obvious rush to get out the news first but the '
'desperate attempts by the anti Trump press to prove Russian collusion is leading to gaffes that make readers
question even legitimate stories. They offer ammo to Trump who in turn bash the press for its 'FAKE NEWS'.
It's all backfiring spectacularly.'

But it's obvious the leftwing posters who survive on this site believe all the initial 'FAKE NEWS' stories & forget about
CNN's embarrassing retractions.

No I understand exactly what you're doing. You're trying to parse words to make an attempt at deflecting or rerouting the conversation from the thread topic. Very typical of a Trump supporter.

If you do extralegal acts with someone, Russian or not, they have the goods on you. You've got to appease them, and you can't go against them lest they drop a dime.

I believe that's what the OP meant by "owned". If not, it is one way someone like Trump could have gotten owned by the Russians. Perhaps through illegal financial transactions.

This is the wrong question.

Trump is not owned by anything or anyone other than money itself. He has no qualms about stepping over a few bodies to make a buck, nor does he have the intelligence to understand that some people, you just don't screw over, unless you want to get hurt.

But does Trump see money in Russia, is he probably getting financing from their financial institutions secretly? Duh. It's on ****ing record that Russians make up a large percentage of the clientele of his real estate sales.

It's also on record that he's been getting his financing from Deutsche bank, which was at the center of a global scheme by Russian mafia to loot world treasuries. Whether those loans have been refinanced or are banked by deeper Russian interests is unknown, because he refuses to let anyone look those forms over; his secrecy and hysterics anytime he thinks someone might tells the story.

Trump see's the presidency as a way to capitalize on many avenues for his business, and but one of them is getting more Russian money. That's why he wants a hotel in Moscow so bad, it would be easy money for him.

It's really not that hard to understand.

He beat the most unpopular Presidential candidate on record, after that candidate rigged the media to try and make Trump her opponent, all while being the second least popular Presidential candidate on record. Trump was the most entertaining option out of the worst batch of candidates imaginable.

Well yes, and I am still waiting for the Democratic Party to apologize to America for what they did, but Trump beat her only after he beat all the geniuses and their candidates on the R side, and don't forget how at the end large numbers of R and R leaning intelligentsia threw in with Clinton Corp trying to beat Trump....and failed.

Trump has to be respected for what he accomplished no matter how you feel about him.

Lots of spin and speculation here...but no meat.

I voted no in your poll. You are going to have to actually come up with some evidence to get me to change my vote. But hey...keep at it. While you are chasing these fantasies around and around, you won't notice...or be concerned with...the important stuff that Trump is doing to make things better for Americans.

Please tell me about those wonderful things he is doing for America I mean other than the top 1%.
People elected him because he was a business man. However they didn't do their homework. His way of doing business is to borrow and barrow then take the money and.run.

Hell he can't even get a loan from a legitimate bank anywhere in the world.

He is a con artist and it is becoming clearer and clearer that he is only in business at Putin's pleasure.

I guess this comes down to semantics and definitions ... for example - does a paying John "own" the whore he is spending time with demanding the performance of specific actions and deeds or is he just renting with no ownership implied?

No. I do not believe in lib-tard anti-Trump conspiracy theories.

No. I do not believe in lib-tard anti-Trump conspiracy theories.

Sometimes conspiracy theories are true, and this one has gone from theory to investigation to into indictments to guilty pleas.

So it appears we are far beyond theory.
