One wonders if people will hold to the same standards for their own as for others.

So here's an entertaining little poll. Public to encourage honesty. If you answer any of the first seven, please do answer one of the last three.

Who should "stand down" (or be removed) from public life/media/elective office/running for same?

You forgot Trump

Who should "stand down" (or be removed) from public life/media/elective office/running for same?

The fact that Trump himself isn't in this poll whereas Hillary whose a woman is ridiculous.

So he is currently being accused by someone in a credible manner of sexual harassment or similar?

Try 12 credible women, and those accusations have been coming for well over a year now.

All of the men who have shown that they have no respect for women should be voted out of office. If they don't have the self control to keep their weenie in their pants where it belongs, then they don't have the self control to be in powerful office.

And yes, that applies to members of both parties. If they want to be a member, then they need to control their members.

We need to take each case on it's own and consider the severity, frequency, and context of the allegations; whether they be liberals or conservatives.

Feel free to "write him in" since I'm out of poll options... oh wait you just did.

So do you have a link to the story where he is currently under accusation of sexual harassment? That was the criteria I used...

Of course, how negligent of me.

Yes he is and was

Heck he even admitted such behavior (caught on tape, dismissed as "guy talk"). Just because people don't want to believe what he says does not mean he was less "creepy" than Franken.

If Franken would touch a women inappropriately I sure as heck believe Trump would have done it multiple times (heck the way he touches Ivanka is creepy)

Ok but can you link to currently-unresolved accusations of inappropriate touching? Actual touching, not "well he said junk..."

Couple questions. No more jokes from Takei about anything ever again? Does he have to give up the voice, though I guess that only matters if he can make jokes. What exactly is he accused of?

Ah. So women are always pure and innocent and never culpable in any sort of sexual harassment?

She is included because a good many people believe she was Bill's enabler through decades of his predatory behaviors.

You mean Trumps actual words stating he touched women inappropriately is not good enough for you?

Do you think Trump is not trustworthy, that his word are meaningless?

I feel a need to qualify.

I think all of them should make their plans to exit public/political influence. However, some I think should leave now, and some I think should finish their term if they have one, doin' their time in their investigations and making an effort to combat this culture within politics.

For the most severe, cut them off from their ability to hurt people with their power immediately. They are predators, and probably incorrigible. For the less severe, do some community service before we shut the door on you, basically. They stand a chance of possibly learning something from it.

Start at the top with the main offender - Trump.

His intentional omission from this poll shows just what the motivation was behind it.

Hard line. But, shrug, maybe you’re right. I voted Moore and Rose. But I do think that more shoes are in mid-air...

Apparently a guy passed out and woke up with Takei touching his junk.

I think the Takei one is a bit more suspect to be honest.

The criteria I went by, was recent news stories regarding unresolved accusations or photo evidence of possibly inappropriate touching.

If you have such a link for Trump by all means post same.

If not, well you've certainly made it clear through posting that you think he should be top of the list and should "stand down", so since I can't change the poll now that will count as your vote mmmkay....

With sexual predation, yeah, I'm pretty hard line. Especially since all of them except Takei have multiple allegations (although Takei's is attempted rape, so it's not necessarily less severe -- I'd actually put him higher on the list).

Is there anything to officially remove him from?

Dunno. I think he's on some tv show. He's certainly a public figure and respected by many.

Battery. He holds any office?

How long should they "stand down"? Would it be a Bill O'Reily "stand down"...as in for a year or two?
