My, my, my. Chickens coming home to roost all over.

Who should "stand down" (or be removed)

  • Total voters
    37
  • Poll closed .
With sexual predation, yeah, I'm pretty hard line. Especially since all of them except Takei have multiple allegations (although Takei's is attempted rape, so it's not necessarily less severe -- I'd actually put him higher on the list).

I wouldn’t argue with you. It’s time. Long past time.

Start at the top with the main offender - Trump.

His intentional omission from this poll shows just what the motivation was behind it.

His omission was that he is not currently in the news with unresolved accusations of inappropriate touching or worse, or pictures of same.

You're certainly free to bring him up, as you just did.

My intention was to probe just how deep the partisanship runs in this matter.... thanks for being Exhibit A

Sorry, Gosh, gonna skip this one. If you want a real poll, you need to at least pick enough GOP offerings to make it an even list, which given the current flood of these stories, should not have been a problem.

Use your magic mod powers to fix it, and I'll play. :)

Exhibit A was you and your poll.

Ok. Your write-in candidate has been noted. I can't change the poll at this point though, but I'm sure any number of people will be quite willing to chime in with their own favorite pics.

I note you gave Franken and Conyers a pass...

It wouldn’t be appropriate to remove the POTUS from office even if in the mix. It’s not an impeachable offense. AND not done during his presidency.

Dunno. I think he's on some tv show. He's certainly a public figure and respected by many.

I figure cancel all appearances and cameos, commercials... He's old, maybe no more jokes from him. In 10 years, contrite... dunno if I could laugh.

After Franken put his tongue, he bullied the woman with the photograph. He can go.

You mean Trumps actual words stating he touched women inappropriately is not good enough for you?

Do you think Trump is not trustworthy, that his word are meaningless?

Post those actual words.

The criteria I went by, was recent news stories regarding unresolved accusations or photo evidence of possibly inappropriate touching.

If you have such a link for Trump by all means post same.

If not, well you've certainly made it clear through posting that you think he should be top of the list and should "stand down", so since I can't change the poll now that will count as your vote mmmkay....

At the top, perhaps not, but certainly be included. Especially as the claims made against him were not settled, just forgotten by some

Hollywood, DC and in between. 'Pubs, Dems and etc.

One wonders if people will hold to the same standards for their own as for others.

So here's an entertaining little poll. Public to encourage honesty. If you answer any of the first seven, please do answer one of the last three.

Who should "stand down" (or be removed) from public life/media/elective office/running for same?

I voted that all sexual predators, including Moore and Trump, should step down. I also agree that Hillary Clinton should be removed from public office immediately.

Post those actual words.

I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know I'm automatically attracted to beautiful—I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.

Grab 'em by the *****. You can do anything

I lack the powers to edit the poll at this point... only the Archmagi of DP can do that. Also there's only 10 options on any poll and we could fill it up in a hurry I'm sure.

Feel free to nominate new candidates.... I went by what's been in the news recently that I saw myself.

It's very, very important to understand that he was speaking facetiously and not admitting to sexual assault. The context is very clear.

You all have been telling that lie for way too long.

All the folks mentioned in the poll are as pure as a the driven snow?

Interesting. Charlie Rose in the lead, followed by Moore. At the moment.

Only one vote for Al Franken so far? Even with picture evidence?

Just curious, but do you feel that way about Takei's Howard Stern interview? Or is that "different" for some entirely inexplicable reason?

Haven't heard about that one. Care to sum up for those of us who don't Howard Stern?

I am now too disenfranchised to play...I could have sworn you were an Archmagi. Nothing matters anymore.... ;)

PS: For what it's worth, if there's an allegation, it should be investigated seriously. If there is proof of a crime, they should be convicted and punished. Regardless of side or who the person is.

The only one on the list that might be problematic is HRC, unless there's a law against "enabling". That's not to say she's a good person, I never thought so (though, yup, I'd rather have had her than Trump, probably no surprise there), but for the purposes of throwing her out of work or into prison or something, I'm not sure you'd make anything stick...and I don't think she could be any worse off in the court of public opinion, because just like Trump, her supporters and haters are all carved in stone, there are no minds to change.

That's my 2 cents. The good thing about the law is that it is (generally, in terms of definitions) non partisan - what's illegal for one political leaning is illegal for all others. I'd just rely on that, and save the royal rumble for the WWE. :)

Hillary should have bowed out long ago for her email scandal... it still boggles my mind how someone could be ordered to turn over a server and emails, and she literally deletes 30,0000 of them saying they were just "personal"... it's not up to you anymore, Hillary, the moment you chose to use government business on your private server, that server/email became the governments. And she knew Bill was a predator for decades, but it would hurt her politics if she ever spoke anything other than defending him...

I think Charlie Rose should bow out....just given it's a private business that is concerned for it's reputation and the accusations are more credible and recent....and that's it.

Conyers is a tough one because there was an actual court settlement.... I did not select him in the poll if I were to put another one... he would be next.

Unverified/unproven claims against politician do not really spark my interest honestly... the only time I get interested is if there is hypocrisy and political partisanship... as far as I am concerned, unless there has been court, photo evidence/video(looking at you Al Franklin), etc..... I think it's best to keep it noted, but not overreact.

Look closely and you'll see that I didn't vote against George Takei. (Staying on topic-n-all...lol)

If the motive of the poll was to flush out Liberal hypocrisy...it worked like a charm...lol

Strip him of his Star Fleet pension.

Losing public appearance, talk shows to conventions, is that to some extent. It's absurd such terms regarding crime.
