auburn fans would never support UAB and UAB fans would never cheer for auburn

however, i believe there are enough senators who will vote to refuse to seat moore in the US senate

the republican governor will then appoint a republican to serve as senator until another special election can be held

and by its actions, alabama will have stolen the mantle of laughingstock of the nation from mississippi

Bill Clinton was impeached for lying under deposition about his affair. So its not like there was not consequences. Moreover, Bill Clinton while a womanizer, did not attempt relations with a 14 year old child. So try again. If the people of Alabama send Moore to the Senate, then they have knowingly elected a man that almost certainly molested a 14 year old child.

I think Moore still wins. There is enough time for people to convince themselves that a 14 year old is basically legal age, and that God works through "flawed" people. One of the strangest things about evangelicals is that they simultaneously like to preach about morality, and embrace some of the most disgusting people imaginable. They will vote for the pedophile while also condemning gay couples. Alabama is full of them, and they will push Moore to victory.

Here’s the problem:

1. Moore has run for office umpteen times. If he was guilty of this, they’d have taken him out long before.

2. It’s the same cast of characters that sprung the NBC tape of Trump BSing with Bush.

3. The Gobbels Inspired Media Propagandists (GIMPs), the propaganda arm of the Socialists of America Partei (SAPs), has shot their credibility.

4. Bill Clinton’s story was known, the GIMPs tried to bury it, and did for a while. They tried to bury the Lewinsky story... actually hoped it wouldn’t see the light of day.

5. The Clinton lies and perversions were brought to light after much time... with the GIMPs running as much cover for him as possible.

If he is guilty of said accusations, he should go. If not, what we have is another GIMP and SAP smear job.

So... hypocrites? No.

That’s still the SAPs and GIMPs who lifted The Clinton Scumbags to royalty status... and kept quiet about all the perversions in Hollywood and the media... for decades.

This is not about stupidity. This is about tribalism and identity politics. They will circle the wagons and protect their own no matter what. Pedophile? Colluding with a hostile foreign power? Their guy may have even been installed there by a hostile foreign power? No problem.

But choosing to stick with a husband who strayed? Outrageous and immoral!

4 Americans killed in a politically unstable country, who chose to go there even after they were warned about the risks? Outrageous! Negligent!

But 4 Americans killed in a place where even the congressmen did not know they were there, and got no help when they got in trouble? That's OK. They died for their country.

I'm not sure it will ever be possible to prove the accusations of the 14 year old. She seems credible, but its impossible to know for sure. That said, what does seem indisputable is his affinity for young girls when he was in his 30's. Not sure how common that was in rural Alabama 40 years ago, but it certainly isnt acceptable today. IMHO it is probably best to judge him on that issue which can be known and not the one which cant.

The Washington Post has some pretty amazing reporters. A few reporters in Alabama are
able to sniff out a few women who then make allegations against Roy Moore from 40 years ago.
We have been told that the post reporters found them. And the story breaks a few weeks before the election.

Obliviously the democrats don't want Moore to win. The establishment republican have been against Moore. The republican machine was supporting Strange as was president Trump.

If the voters in Alabama see this as the "establishment" going after Moore I think he will be elected regardless what the Washington Post prints.
The voters did that already by ignoring the state republican party and Trump's endorsement.

If you see the accuser show up on 60 minutes or something like it before the election then my bet is he (Moore) would win the election.

There may be others. But seeing how they have been vilified in the press and social media is it any wonder people who have been sexually assaulted as a minor or an adult are reluctant to come forth.

Moore has been vilified, the accusers haven't. But yes, there is a reluctance to come forward. That reluctance usually turns into a dam-break once the first one steps forward.
