Who would you prefer your child grow up to be like?

Newp. That's part of exactly what's wrong with our society. Pro ballers of any sport simply shouldn't be roles models, and he's hardly an idiot.

I hear conservatives bitch and moan about NFL Players as role models. How Cam Newton dancing after a touchdown is somehow instilling bad sportsmanship in their children.... Trump is the textbook definition of a poor sport, and yet they helped him win.

Don't take it personally, but i am so glad i am not an american. Your political structure was an interesting experiment but really it is time to give it up.

Neither actually. Hillary has a few good points, but in Trump the people find him truly wanting. In watching his behavior it becomes obvious that this guy has personality issues that is spilling over. We all know he has a full blown ego, very narcisistic, and insecure. Secure people do not need to go around constantly boasting.

On the other side, when he speaks he really is speaking to his base who swallow as gospel every word he says. Everyone else is collateral.

I would prefer they use President Trump as a role model. He is a person who keeps winning, even with the deck fixed, and the odds stacked against him. He was born in Brooklyn NY. His dad gave him a $million for seeds money and he was able to turn that into $billions as a developer in Manhattan and then world wide. Manhattan is not an easy place to make your fortune, since it is ruled by old money and crony Democrat politics, which does not take kindly to outsiders, even from Brooklyn.

He ran for president with very little financial support and he started with no political organization. This was unlike all his opponents from both parties who had special interest money and party organization at their disposal. He was not supposed to win. However, he did win, which even today causes people on the left to go close to the edge.

After he was elected, he was faced with an army of negativity from the media, worse than it has even been in history. This much organized negativity, misinformation, sabotage, and lack of cooperation would have taken out any other man or woman. Trump fought fire with fire and outlasted them all. His TV and media persona is what it took to beat the odds. This rubs the opposition the wrong way because it is affective. Trump epitomizes a person with big dreams who does not let poor odds get in his way. This attitude leads to success, in whatever path the children wish to go.

Trump supporters don;t mind his crude persona, because draining a swamp is a dirty job. If you clothes are not dirty you aren't draining the swamp, but have become part of it.

So I can have a son that cheats, lies, and steals his way into being rich after being given a huge head start by his dad. A man who disrespects women and minorities. A man who pays no attention to the advice of people around him and constantly shoots his mouth off without thinking.

Or I can have a daughter who lies constantly about everything. Who will sell her soul for a vote or a donation. Who, as far as I can tell, doesn't have a genuine opinion about any topic at all. Who puts up with a cheating husband to further her political career.

I think if those are my only two choices I wouldn't have kids in the first place.

Surprise. Surprise. A lefty thread with a lot of lefties voting Hillary. I've got a couple of daughters and I sure as hell don't want them growing up to be crooked Hillary. I don't want them growing up to be a Trump either. So, I didn't vote because you didn't have that third option of not wanting our children to grow up like either or even a fourth option that we would want our children to grow up to be like both. I find it funny though that your question is sexist because a daughter could grow up to be like Trump or a son could grow up to be like Hillary. If a righty had made a similar post the left would be labeling them racists, bigots, or misogynists.

Having two imperfect choices does not mean there isn't a clearly better one. If you're not choosing a side or you're being too picky you allow the worst case scenario.

Neither. There is little to admire about Trump or Hillary. Neither Trump nor Hillary are well adjusted adults. Both are unhappy people driven by shallow values. I cannot imagine why anyone would want to emulate Trump or Hillary or anyone like them.
 
Interesting poll question! Hillary tried to "play fair" in the 2016 election, which was probably the reason she lost.

While she was playing fair, Trump was espousing the "Birther Lie", long after proven false. Breitbart hired actors to pose as a prostitute and pimp, and put ACORN out of business. Besides providing housing for the poor, ACORN also worked to help the poor register to vote. Breitbart also figured out a way to capture some of the College vote. They hired the charismatic Milo Y, who was openly gay, and stated: "I'm not bias against blacks, because I suck black ****". FOX News covered all these issues, including frequent visits from Milo, who also stated, "I don't like Republicans, but I like Trump". And of course the CEO of Breitbart was rewarded by Trump, who installed him into his cabinet.

I would rather my child try to play fair, than to resort to these tactics.

Do you really not understand how incredibly simple it would have been to turn a million dollars in the 1970's into a billion dollars today? I could have done it by simply investing in Mutual Funds without ever having to file for bankruptcy.

First...its rather a shame that you limit it to THOSE two choices. I mean...how do yuo choose?

A rich successful businessman that is by all accounts a great father but also pretty ivedently a douche in a lot of very significant ways. Or...

A political whore that has maintained a soulless 'marriage' for 4 decades not only allowing her husband to cheat on her but also has spent 4 decades attacking his victims...a woman that is so corrupt she would literally lie about her own name.

Where again are the redeeming values on which to base a selection?
 
The days when people could want their kids to grow up to be just like the POTUS are over.

Also, this poll is apples and tricycles to me. I don't share the idea that Hillary is just as bad as the mentally ill sexual deviant in the WH.
