Just as the kneeling itself is political stunt. A Political Stunt based on a Leftist political lie of systemic minority oppession.

Well congrats on being no better then.

This thread is about Pence.

Pence is a Jackass too. Spending $142,000 taxpayer dollars to put on his little dog & pony show. That's all this administration is---is a show.

How much did Vice President Mike Pence's trip to Indianapolis to watch -- and then abruptly leave -- a football game Sunday between the Indianapolis Colts and San Francisco 49ers cost?

Here is an estimate of just the air costs (which does not include costs of advance personnel, Secret Service or support on the ground):
According to the Air Force, flying a C-32, the model of plane used for Air Force 2, for one hour costs about $30,000. Pence's flight from Las Vegas to Indianapolis Saturday took about three hours and 20 minutes, so it cost about $100,000. Pence then flew from Indianapolis to Los Angeles on Sunday, which took about four hours and 45 minutes, costing about $142,500.

Trump did it all, and Pence like the little puppet he is, went along with it.

The plan had been for Vice President Mike Pence to attend the Indianapolis Colts game at which Peyton Manning’s number was to be retired, a gala celebration of the former Colts quarterback’s contributions to Pence’s home state.

The former governor of Indiana and his wife, wearing a Manning No. 18 jersey, left Lucas Oil Stadium after the national anthem, following instructions from President Trump after a number of San Francisco 49ers players, as they usually do, took a knee during the anthem.

“I asked @VP Pence to leave stadium if any players kneeled,” Trump posted on Twitter. “I am proud of him and @SecondLady Karen.”

You know when we elect government officials, we EXPECT them to work on Government matters, and not pull stunts like this. They're not working on anything--they're busy putting on shows for their brain dead supporters in this country.

It makes me want to gag every time I see Trump board Air Force 1.

The whole godamn thing is stupid. It is a fabricated faux-rage induced and embraced by the media and capitolized upon by the Trump administration to throw red meat to his alt-right base. Should have just let kaeperdicks have his 15 seconds of fame and ignored him. But I digress. It is what it is.

I followed along. I witnessed how the narrative switched from racial oppression :)roll:) to dishonoring Old Glory and all things patriotic. I also understand that protesting in this manner can upset those who prefer to look upon it as the latter. I also recognize that those folks have a unique grip on reality that sometimes differs from my own. I also witnessed how the media helped to maniulate the original narrative in order to instigate the persuing pissing-match.

You will get no argument from me as to the original intent vs. the fabricated narrative. Still, in my opinion, Kaeperdick's is STILL a weenie. He used to be an insignificant weenie who could throw a football but noooooo..... The media, the Trumps, all the folks who got their pantie's twisted in a knot, have made him famous immortal. Good job guys.

Myself, as I have mentioned before, I am a proud veteran and my flag pole is the tallest on the block. I am a Master Freemason and a Lions Club member. I vote. I pay taxes. I obey the law. I stand for the anthem and when the flag passes by in the July 4th parade, my godamn eyes water. I have set, what I would think, to be an honorable level of moral standards for myself and I practice those religously. My "patriot" credentials are intact by anyone's standards. So, don't freak out about what I am about to say.

As a veteran, it hurts my feelings none. As I mentioned, I remember the original intent and I was not swayed by the rightwing propaganda outlets in their successful attempt to divert the narrative. I don't necessarily agree with the original intent but that's another talk show. Don't wanna open that can of worms.

Our "rights," our freedoms, can be double-edged swords. It is evidenced in just about each one of them. Pick one.

It has become the nature of American's to exhault the rights they approvve of and demonize the ones that don't. People have just gotten to the point that they are downright nasty to each other. I see this coming from all directions. No political party, ideology, has the monopoly on it. Some disagrees with you and they go out of their way to call you a dickhead. I might have been guilty of that myself, once or twice. ;)

Anyways, I'm rambling now. (too much coffee.)

In closing. I could care less if Kaeperdicks takes a knee. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if he spent the rest of his life working on his knees.

The point has been made. It is duly noted. The debate is ongoing. It's time for the NFL, and all Americans, black and white, rightwing and leftwing and all points-in-between, to put their big boy panties back on and stand and salute old glory while singing the Star Speckled Banana in thier loudest voice. Enogh is enough. Let's get back some normalcy in America's favorite past time. That seems to be about the only time we can all get together on just about anything.

While PR gets abolished and California burns, the conversation at the table is still about the NFL and flag stuff?

It's overkill. Let's move on. Together.

All this dog and pony show proves is how divided we are as a nation.

And how Trump is only exacerbating the situation, lol. This whole NFL thing didn't blow up until Trump started tweeting.

Though I find it interesting for anyone who supports Trump being all hurt over the NFL taking a knee, claiming they're being disrespectful to the flag and the men and women that fight for our freedoms. Trump himself said he only liked troops that weren't captured (when attacking McCain), that's a pretty big direct insult to our troops. But that's not a big deal. However, a football player taking a knee...why that's a slap in the face.

lol

It's all nothing more than partisan, divisive, politics. If your guy does it, no big deal. If the other guy does it, biggest deal ever.

Yes sir. I agree.

And that division is being carefully crafted by the media, foreign propaganda and political parties. It sells.

We ALL need to wake up and tell them to kiss our ass. We will no longer be manipulated. All Americans, black, white, conservatives, liberals, we ALL have a LOT more in common than we have differences. We all want MOSTLY the same things. How did we get to the place where all conservatives are gullable retards and all liberals are mentally defective spawn of Satan?

Turn away from the dark side everybody. Don't be torn apart by political and corporate and media interests.

United we stand. There is room for everyone and you know what they say about opinions.
