Did Tillerson call Trump a moron?

Maybe because he actually said it, and plenty of people heard it. NBC reported that he made the remark with others around him after a meeting, and it was confirmed by three separate sources:

Just days earlier, Tillerson had openly disparaged the president, referring to him as a “moron,” after a July 20 meeting at the Pentagon with members of Trump’s national security team and Cabinet officials, according to three officials familiar with the incident.

MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle has also reporting that another source told her Tillerson used the word — including a vulgar modifier in front of it, and CNN is also reporting he used the word “moron.”
Get the feelin the vulgar modifier began with an F and ended in a G.

Yes and rightfully so.

Like 98.4% chance.

Good enough for a YES.

I have zero doubt Tillerson thinks Trump is a moron. I am less certain he would say it in front of so many officials, though.

I do not know whether he did or not.

I don't think so.

I think this is a rope a dope concocted by the Trump administration...and the Mainstream Media is the dope.

Why? Trump has a history of controlling the media narrative. He has constantly trolled the media and caused uproars. My guess is that he is keeping the media occupied so they don't catch onto...and deliberately torpedo...his actions regarding China/NK.

My opinion. It would have been a select few after the meeting, could have been 3 to 6 or so.

As long as Tillerson doesn't call me a moron, I'm okay with it. Y'all are on your own.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said on Wednesday he had never considered resigning and was committed to President Donald Trump's agenda.

"The Secretary .... does not use that language to speak about anyone. He did not say that," State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said at a briefing.
The top U.S. diplomat, whose tenure has been dogged with rumors about unhappiness with Trump's policies and rhetoric, said he was as committed to Trump's agenda today as he was when he accepted the offer to serve as secretary of state.

"My commitment to the success of our president and our country is as strong as it was the day I accepted his offer to serve as secretary of state," Tillerson said.

I have little doubt that given the impossible task of running a State Department with the President actively undermining its stated goals at every turn, that Tillerson might have lost his cool on more than a few occasions.

I am surprised everyone who works for that moron does not call him a moron.

Probably, because Trump's behavior proves that he is indeed a moron, and Tillerson is smart enough to recognize that.

At least Tillerson can speak truth to power....

My thought as well.

Speaking truth to power usually means speaking truth to power's face. If he did it out of earshot of the President himself (and that's the impression I'm getting from the article), then he was just bitching and moaning.

I doubt very much if the writer knows what he is talking about. Trump does not have many choices as it pertains to China and North Korea.

We do not believe Trump has a policy and is not up to it judging by his behaviors.

....every party has a pooper....

What you say, is in fact, correct. I was just trying to exercise a little artistic license. I thought the overarching point, that the Emperor has no clothes (or in this case, little intelligence) and no one will stand up and state the obvious, was best portrayed this way.
