They bitch about everything else, this is just more fodder. Speaking of cotton candy, I'm offended.

Absolutely not to both!

Really?!! This is so ****ing out of control, it's not even funny. If you get offended by a ****ing twig of cotton, YOU have the ****ing problem!

Oh my God. What an idiot she is. It's just a cotton plant.

I swear, how can one even be offended by that? It's just so unbelievably ridiculous. I swear, you'd have to pay me to be offended at half of the innocuous stuff people get riled up over today.

Those who go looking for reason to be offended, tend to find it.

Offensive? No.

Ugly? Yes.

I can't see the racism. Most of my older friends from east Texas picked cotton when they were growing up on the area cotton farms.

I do agree that there is nothing attractive about a cotton plant.

Just stop.

It's not racist or offensive. Yes, slaves used to pick cotton but that ended over a century ago. There's nothing inherently racist or offensive about cotton.

Next they'll pass a law requiring privacy fencing around cotton fields.

Personally, I can think of nothing I have ever seen in my life that is more racist or more inappropriate for public display. Hobby Lobby should be sued for this blatant display of white supremacy. Sure, Cotton has been used by humans for about 7000 years or so but if we pass up even one opportunity to point out racism the whole world will implode into a black hole....which is racist.

Almost forgot. It's Donald Trump's fault.

What do I think? I think it is time to stop being triggered over facebook and twitter posts. If you care about what some random person posts on facebook or twitter, you might want to re-examine your priorities...

Using flowers or other plant cuttings as interior decor is not offensive and certainly not racist. What does this loon have to say about the display poppies or their seeds - are they showing support for the opium trade and thus offensive?

Wow, you really need to stop being triggered by lighthearted posts.

I think that you need to push for your college to start providing a degree in being offended.

Unless, of course, the product bears a clearly visible tag (5" x 8" minimum and in bold print on a contrasting background) stating that no slave labor was used in the planting, harvesting, production, processing or delivery of this agricultural product. Removal of such tag is forbidden by law - see mattresses.

Ok, so I thought maybe it was going to be a figurine of a black person picking cotton or something but no, it is just cotton. So it is ok for me to wear a cotton shirt or, gasp, even give a cotton shirt to a black friend as a gift but cotton by itself is racist? What if I have a painting on the wall and in the painting is a field of cotton. Is that racist? It isn't real cotton whereas my shirt is made of real cotton. What about cotton swabs?

Cotton wasn't even the only thing they picked. Hell, maybe I should avoid eating around blacks altogether because their ancestors probably had to pick the same kinds of food that I have on my plate.

When you complain about every little thing nobody will pay attention when you complain about something that actually matters.

I mean if we're going to go that route, slaves used to eat food, so we better ban food. Slaves used to sleep, so we better ban sleeping. Slaves used to wear clothing, so better ban that too.
