Wish I could afford an artificial horse
I argue that you have mis-read reality.
I am asking this question before most anyone else yes, but this tends to happen to those of us who got educated.
Well, probably not. Offhand, Larry Niven likely covered this topic (sex-bots in general) somewhere in his collected work. He did (does?) a lot of cutting-edge stuff, & so did Philip K. Dick. See also
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fembot#Female_robots
“Artificial women have been a common trope in fiction and mythology since the writings of the ancient Greeks. This has continued with modern fiction, particularly in the genre of science fiction. In science fiction, female-appearing robots are often produced for use as domestic servants and sexual slaves, as seen in the film
Westworld, Paul J. McAuley's novel
Fairyland (1995), and Lester del Rey's short story "
Helen O'Loy" (1938),[5] and sometimes as warriors, killers, or laborers. The character of Annalee Call in
Alien: Resurrection is a rare example of a non-sexualized gynoid.”
There’s also a nice list there:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fictional_female_robots_and_cyborgs - fairly exhaustive, includes movies, TV, video games, literature.
But sure, it’s worth discussing these issues before we get to the cliff, so to speak. That’s one reason I’ve long appreciated science fiction. I like to have some time to consider these issues, before commenting on them.
