Poll: Majority says prejudice in US has increased since Trump's election

Has the level of hatred and prejudice in the US increased or decreased under Trump?

  • Total voters
    49
  • Poll closed .
No one is trying to "beat Trump" in the streets. They are frustrated over the bull****, lies, in-fighting, firings, lack of progress, and a president who is showing signs of bigotry. This was the guy who plagued Obama about being "Kenyan", a man who said he could never get a fair trial out of a "Mexican" judge [who's family pre-dates Trump's by five generations, a president who has called Mexicans "rapists and murderers", and tried to create fear and contempt of Muslims by falsely claiming "thousands danced in the streets" after 9-11.

Your president breeds contempt of groups among his followers...now why in the **** would you be aghast when Americans take to the streets to demonstrate their unity of purpose?

Get used to it, Charlottesville triggered a beginning, not an end

prejudice...

I don't think there's more of it but they sure are taking it to the streets like never before.

It never ceases to amaze me that the general animus toward the ideological right, which cost Hillary the election, is now seen as a way to defeat Trump. The left wing just seems to have such a high opinion of themselves that they can't comprehend so much as the possibility that they are the ones with the problem.

In the view of many on the left they got victimized by hate, and since victims are always innocent of everything they feel no need to look further.

Yes, we really do suck that badly now.

Increased because 8 years of Barry set the tone. That can't be denied.

The people in the streets today are the same ones who supported Hillary referring to half the country as "deplorables" and it's that kind of attitude that got a whole lot of folks who planned on voting "neither" to pull the lever for Trump. Hillary and her party are a grave threat to our Constitutional Republic and the liberties it protects. For most of us our support is for the Republic, not Trump.

Always Hilary.

You can't possibly know that. You are blinded by your bias...debate until you run out of ideas then blame it on: 1) MSM, 2) Obama, 3) Hilary.

No proof? No problem just keep saying it.

I have lost so much respect for so many people on this forum as a result of the Trump victory, your case being one of the most disappointing.

The alt right and white supremacists who support Trump are deplorable, but I don't think they are even a majority of Trumps supporters, or even of his hard core base. Hillary was wrong to put that label on all Trump's supporters. We all know her political skills are not exactly top drawer. That said the deplorables are there, and they are noisy and emboldened.

If this was about opposing fascism, then we would have been seeing Antifa just as active during the Obama admin. as they are today.
That is assuming that fascists were as active/visible then as now....but they weren't....so...derp!

There is no rising fascism in America, just rising hatred of the people that defeated the anointed Dem. candidate.
Um, the alt-right is a phenom of the last couple of years, so one would have to be REALLY deep into denialism to make such a claim.

No, the Southern AZ Milita was on hand too...

So no response to yer revisionism?

There was nothing about them in the ADS piece and I didn't see them mentioned in anything I read from AZ Central. The Southern AZ Militia Facebook page does mention their presence so I guess they were there too.

AWEsome...its a phone survey.

:lamo

In other news, on the eve of the election, Hillary Clinton beats president Trump by double digits according to the latest polls.

BTW...if this question from the survey doesnt make you laugh out loud and disregard the poll results...YOU are the problem in this country:
"White supremacist groups pose a threat to the U.S., voters say 64 - 34 percent."

America's fascists overwhelming reside in the Alt Right.

It has been downhill for Trump since election day; we need no polls to know that.

Well no ****. The media outlets and rat politicians have been fomenting racial hatred for 18 months. Leftist twats have been protesting and stirring up hatred since 9 November. Simple minded leftists have bought into the race baiting hatred. If your point is there are a whole lot of soft minded simple leftist ****heads in this country, Id agree. However...I dont think the number of soft minded simple leftist ****heads is anywhere as bad as people want to make it. I think most liberals are just as tired of the soft minded simple leftist ****heads as they are of Trump.

That is alt right nonsense.

Trump is by far the problem.

Prejudice hasn't increased. The fact that the left lost the election has brought the prejudice they have always harbored out where it can now be seen clearly.

Its not just those liberals who dislike Trump, lots of us independents think the man is unfit, and slightly odd, in a mental health way.

I think Trump just created an environment that made people feel more safe to be openly prejudiced. I'm not sure if he has actually increased the amount of people holding these views.

I listened to his talk about the war and from a soldiers standpoint he makes perfect sense.

The media crucified him for his crude talk about women. While he may have said it Clinton and JFK most likely did every foul thing he said to the women while president. I have heard worse from children in a grade school out for recess while repairing the drinking fountain at a prominent Catholic school. The talk I heard at public high schools would make Trump look like an alter boy. I could go on all day comparing Trumps actions and words to previous leaders.

I obviously hold the President to a higher standard than you, its the military man. As for the lockerroom talk, I have been in lots of locker rooms, sports, and the military, only heard talk like that in Jr high, most guys out grow it at 15. Whats Trumps excuse?
