I watched regularly and never really knew they were jewish on the show
 
There's Irish Culture, Spanish culture, Russian culture, all sorts of different European culture. But I don't have any idea of what "White culture" would be.

Well, they are statues of white people who suffered one of the most epic defeats in history......so it's hard to define it as supremacy.

Don't forget the regional cultures. East, West, North, South, Appalachian, etc. There is no "white culture" except for on TV.

Traditional American cultural up until the 50-70's could be seen as "white culture" given on how few minorities had any roles in politics, business, and entertainment. It would have in the past been associated with WASP culture for the most part.

There's a lot of context behind the placement and timing of some of the statues.

A civil war statue that is in a museum or private place with information describing the person, event, or reason of the statue is not a symbol of white supremacy. A civil war statue that was placed in the town square by the majority white citizens during a time those white people were fighting to keep black people as second class citizens, that would appear to some as a symbol of white supremacy that the majority in the town feel.

So yes, those statues can be used by white supremacists and if white people in general don't want to be associated with it, then they should speak out, which I see all the time. That is why most of us can logically see white supremacist culture is not entwined with white people.
 
There were approximately 40,000 counter protestors to the alt-right protest in Boston and the poll only gets 5 votes?

There's really no such thing as white culture. In America white people come from so many different an unique backgrounds that there's really no way to pin a culture to anything close to all of them. You might argue there is Italian culture, or Irish culture, or German culture, or Norwegian culture, or catholic culture, protestant culture, Jewish culture or something like that, but there really is no such thing as white culture.

You might be able to argue there is black culture given that their's such a low % of them and they're kind of forced to interact with each other more, but the difference between a white guy from Mississippi, and a white guy from Seattle or New York is pretty stark.

You are probably luckily you got that many since its a failed and retarded question with not enough info to answer it properly as the majority here have told you. Instead of making a post crying about it make better polls that make sense and that are honest and they wont fail so unbelievably yet entertainingly hard :)

IMHO, that varies quite a bit even between Austin, TX and Uhland, TX (which are only about 30 miles apart). On tiny example is that in Austin you are expected to supply your own "grocery" bags - that is still a culture shock to many folks that simply assume you will be given a free disposable bag to tote your store purchases in. In case you haven't noticed, many "reality" TV shows actually use subtitles to convey what American white folks are talking about.

Depends on the intent regarding why they were erected

If they were erected by KKK supporters who were upset at the various attempts to provide equality to African Americans yes. Especially when erected in places were the people depicted by the statue never visited or when the statue or memorial is about something that never occurred in that region

A statue at say the birth place of General Lee, or one of the major battle sites (or closest town) not an example of white supremacy

The statues in Birmingham Alabama, paid for by the daughters of the confederacy most likely were. That city was founded after the civil war so it did not have any historical ties to the confederacy that would merit historical statues of people in the confederacy
