Sir yes sir. Now, evidence?

Try that again, and imagine that you're talking to somebody in real life. And pretend that the social contract exists and that you're a part of it.

That's what I thought. Making stuff up again, are we?

You entered into this thread in the rudest and most obnoxious manner possible. I have something you want: the source for my claim. You, however, have nothing I want. So if I'm going to share with you the source for my claim, then it'll only be after you straighten out and act like an adult.

You are mistaken, since I know you simply made up, or regurgitated, your talking point about "Trump interference", I have accomplished what I set out to do (not that it was any great feat). You have admitted as much by employing your usual stalling tactic. Your modus operandi when called upon to substantiate your manufactured "facts" and issued talking points. Thanks for playing.

My plan is to not get sick.

UHC West (Tricare). Thanks socialism!

I'm just curious which people are on which plans, and therefore who's affected by the ongoing debate.

When my wife retired four years ago at the age of 62, she was on COBRA coverage for 1 1/2 years. When that ran out, she had to get an individual plan. She found one through Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Kansas City. The payment was around $670 a month for just her and a deductible of somewhere around $5,000. She chose a plan that was not part of ACA; however, the rates were similar to ACA plans. The biggest difference was that the plan she had was accepted by our Physician. ACA was not.

Actually, switched over to Medicare. The union plan (wife's employer) we were under, which covered everything and was a Cadillac plan, as they call them, is now the tie-in. Though we each pay something over a hundred a month now for Medicare, we don't pay for the tie-in and it covers anything Medicare doesn't. So we don't have any expenses beyond the Medicare payment. The union plan still covers us in full for drug coverage. Our doctor usually doesn't take Medicare but made an exception in our case because the union covers the difference.

How do you explain healthcare prices going through the roof prior to the ACA? Don't cherry-pick individual years, look at the general trajectory. Prices have been steadily climbing roughly the same before and since.

If you take away the added taxes and the CSR payments the premiums would have skyrocketed. Simply looking at premiums rising at a similar rate doesn't account for the added tax money thrown into the equation and hides the additional increases.

Insurances aren't going to simply give you extra coverage because the government mandates it. Someone is going to pay for it wether that is through the premiums themselves or through taxes.
