Administration Leaks. A "Pence for POTUS" Initiative?

The president is a narcissist and he does things narcissists do. This would be interesting but I know almost nothing about pence. I could see trump resigning on his own account and blaming the left.

That sounds like a losing strategy to me, considering that Republicans chose him as their party's nominee, supported him through the election, stood mutely and fecklessly by as his incompetence reached full bloom, and have made every excuse for not confronting his utter inadequacy.

Of course the Right has tried to blame the Left for Trump since the very beginning, and many from that side are mentally impaired by RWNJ media conditioning, so I guess doubling down on stupid might just work..

at least with the most impressionable segment of society.

I think Trump would like to go back to 'reality' TV. He didn't want to be potus, but his ego and his supporters put him there. However, I think he won't willingly leave unless he can do so claiming he "won" something.

The Republican party would actually much prefer Pence. Pence is a very conservative theocrat, so I don't like him. Conservatives can be okay, but I don't trust theocrats.

Bingo! I totally agree with all of the above.

There have been massive "Leaks" on various topics from "former and current members" of government almost from the start of this new Administration.

I put this down to "True Believers" and party partisanship in the early days.

However, over the last few months it seems the leaks could only be coming from "trusted" Republican appointees to various staff and possibly cabinet level positions.

Example; the recent "revelations" from "several sources" allegedly on the plane with the POTUS regarding Trump Jr's Russian meeting statement.

We haven't heard much from Vice-President Pence either, unless dragged out for a photoshoot by the President.

I'm beginning to think these current insider leaks might be generated by a cabal of conservative Republicans who hope to undermine the POTUS and see Mr. Pence assume the office.

Thoughts?

(NOTE: This is a "Pence for President" conspiracy poll. Not a "Let's list Trump's problems" poll)

DONT RESPOND! Deleting post because the POLL timed out.

Admins, please delete. For some reason the system won't let me. Thanks

I've long thought that Pence is trying to pull a Frank Underwood, leaks are probably coming from his corner.

When you lay with fleas you're gonna get leaks.

Don't know if I'd go that far but I won't say you're wrong either.

Ummmmmmmmmmmm. Democrats in three blue states elected Trump president.

Being a theocrat doesn't mean republicans like him. I don't like him for that reason. Same with Cruz or even Ben Carson. I like Adam Putnam. Lol

The crowd is not the sum of its parts.

I am a republican who did not vote for Trump (Or Hillary).

More proof than supposition is need, of course, to fulfill the "Pence for Potus" theme. Pence did not, I think, early on have this scenario in mind. It must certainly be on his mind now. He hired his own attorney.

Cabal candidates now active? If a cabal or cabals are now active, to succeed they must include Pence or his agent, Mattis, McMaster, probably but not necessarily Tillerson, Ryan and his top two or three leaders in the GOP House.

Trump, in response to "Do you agree Trump has something wrong with his thought process or maybe he just doesn't care? He doesn't seem to give much thought before he speaks": he knows what he wants but has trouble internalizing anger and play the long game. His handlers can calm down for the short term, but the explodes again.

If DJT passes before fulfilling his first term, in part it will be remembered as the last great gasp of the failed far right.

(I fully expect him to fire, or try to, Muller before the end of the month. The GJ and the threat that his taxes may be revealed are incendiary subjects to him.)

This thread might have gotten a shot in the arm this weekend with the stories about VP Pence having his eye on POTUS job in 2020. His denial seemed like a Shakespeare quote, "me thinks thou dost protest too much!" Pence and his people are going to ride both rails as long as possible.

Everyone bashes the WAPO and NYT, wonder how the LA Times will fare?

Actually I think Pence's "campaign fundraising" is just to pay for his lawyers. Pence is dirty too and he knows if Trump goes down he will go with him.
