FOX News attacks on Obama were the worst in history. They resorted to lies, including many character lies. They resorted to the creation, promotion, and provision of key-note speakers for the Tea Party.

The media is not resorting to lies with Trump. They don't have to... On the contrary, Trump is continuously lying, including lies about the media.

Since I have been old enough to percieve, Yes. But I've only been old enough to percieve GWB, Obama, and Trump, anything beyond that I have no personal ability to compare without relying on someone else's analysis.

as well he should, I mean George Bush was the recipient of so much media abuse that he never hit back on. at the very least since Trump people trust the media as much as they trust him, which is not much. the lesser respect for the press is certainly a win for the people.
 
If Trump doesn't like what the media says about him all that he has to do is change his nasty habits.

Between Trump and the media, I'm not sure which of the two that I have more disdain for to be honest.

To a point...yes.

But most of it is fully deserved.

And the rest of it is probably because that knucklehead in the White House has been viciously attacking the major media from day 1. He even had a meeting with them before he was President and apparently just verbally assaulted them...ordering them to do what he says or they were dead in his eyes (paraphrasing...a bit).

One - it's more fun when he doesn't. And two - it will assure that he will not be re-elected as that emotionally disturbed child is HORRIBLE for America AND most people know it now (except for the staggeringly ignorant, uneducated, old, white (mostly) men who predominently live in the sticks who worship their Dear Leader.

Has it ever occurred to you that the "media" gives the president a hard time because he's a piece of crap who treats everyone around him (except his family) like garbage; lashes out like a child at anyone who dares disagree with him; knows little to nothing about policy and has shown zero interest in changing that; and basically exists to placate the lowest common denominator?

The media doesn't suck Trump's dick because he's a terrible person who never should have been elected president. But he was, because his idiot supporters apparently outnumber the rest of us who know how to read.

Simply put yes.
Though his actions are part of the problem, and the rest is butt hurt liberals who can't admit that he was right more than he was wrong.

I just don't watch the MSM anymore, because it boils down to having to read the online reviews from four other sites, and hunt down the transcripts of their interview. Just to see if the MSM was telling the truth or outright lying just to get back at him, and it usually turns out to be the latter of the two.
 
Well you cannot compare him with other presidents in the past, except maybe to some degree Obama. But the enormous explosion of social media and news on that social media, compared with huge numbers of online news outlets, the media onslaught on our society is worse than in any time before.

Nixon did not have this problem, nor did Bush the Elder, Reagan, Clinton and even Obama did not have to deal with it on this level.

So it is very difficult to compare but the whole media criticism is mostly due to the hugely partisan society of the US today and that is the real issue here IMHO. Now let us also be honest, Trump has been waging war on more than half of the country since his campaign began and to some extend even before that (birtherism and his constant comments denouncing Obama, even though he now does some of the things he blasted Obama for then). And he has been waging a war on the media, even though the media had been giving the man close to unfettered access to the networks for months and months before criticism of his views and behavior was gaining steam in the more liberal outlets of the media.

So according to me it is a mix of several of the options you gave and that meant that the only one I could comfortably choose was "other".
 
It hasn't been significantly worse than the media's reporting on Obama or Bush. And that difference can be explained by Trumps ineptitude and bad behavior.
 
The media has had a hey day with Trump, who brought most of it on himself.

And all of this is part of the reason why he won. The populace wanted a non-politician. The non-traditional behaviors are the result. Seems pretty straight forward to me.

Is this really what's best for the country? Hmmm...debatable.

Will Trump supporters leave him because of these issues? Not a chance, its exactly what they wanted.

Besides, Trump has that boy-scout vote locked up now...

I don't actually see how anyone can vote no, not at all. Now I can see people voting that Trump brought it on himself but that just goes to show that the mainstream media are all about anti-Trump, anti-Trump, anti-Trump. Voting no denies that the media is anti-Trump at all, which is ridiculous.
