Will President Trump veto the Russian Sanctions Bill?
Will President Trump veto the Russian Sanctions Bill?
That is hard to do, I had understood. But, why should he? Because Russia would be angry and the Germany and Austrians threatened revenge?
Apparently, he might veto it and say that he did it so that the Bill can be made tougher.
At least, that would be his justification.
We have three issues here:
- Russian military aggression that must be acted on
- European free riding
- German export surpluses, the way they source them and the fair trade Trump talked about.
Will President Trump veto the Russian Sanctions Bill?
I vote yes. Not because Trump has an agenda, and not guessing what changing-reasons would be.
I vote that he will, simply because he has the power to, and Trump will use his power simply because he can. I don't give him credit to have an actual justification, despite what he says after he vetoes.
He loves having power and using it.
If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the same shall be a Law, in like manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its return, in which case it shall not be a Law.
