Things have picked up greatly since the Don Jr. blunderpalooza. It seems now the rats are abandoning the Trumptanic.

Trump's list of allies grows thin and his enemies have encircled him. I don't think he has the political capital to survive if Mueller is dismissed. This turkey is fried!

That's why Trump brought on "The Mooch". He's just the right kind of snake oil salesman that can spray enough perfume on the Trump crime family's turds. He's the hired gun that can get things done the way Spicy couldn't.

I can't tell if it's imploding or has always seemed to be this way. It's entirely possible that a state of implosion is just its natural resting heart rate.

The only qualitative changes we can point to is that

a)the matter of their honesty has been officially resolved. Even their own side tacitly acknowledges that their credibility no longer needs to be given the benefit of the doubt.
b)generations-long alliances have frayed as foreign leaders no longer trust our motives or our allegiances. Trade partnerships have moved on without us.
c)inherent distrust in the President's motives on Russia is regarded with deep bipartisan suspicion. His staunchest supporters are unable and unwilling to explain his lies and his behavior on this point.
d)his intentions regarding healthcare have been shown to be a sham, as he has shown no intention of standing behind past declarations, and has shown no willingness to learn about the topic.

But is the administration in a state of implosion? I would say that it's in a state of chaos, and that has not changed or worsened in any meaningful way since he was inaugurated, imo. It's entirely possible that the administration has been 100% consistent, and it's we who remain surprised and shocked that this continues to be the state of our country.

(Note that I didn't include anything about a complete disregard for institutions and traditions. These aren't changes, per se, because they've been present since he first started running for office).
