I agree with all of that, but what is the solution?

legalize it, tax it and use the money along with what we save on treatment and education. might not cut down on the number of addicts but it will cut down on the ODs due to unknown strength of a fix and the number of hard core criminals we are creating.

This is true, but meth is seriously bad news. I guess either way, people will do it. Mandatory rehab is an option, but no gaurentee, I agree, incarceration is no answer.

That is just my opinion, I stated nothing more. As a former meth addict, I think that would be crazy.

Congrats on getting off of it. I had a friend that was really bad off on meth, she was also able to get herself cleaned up and is doing well.

I just wonder if it was legal, would I have gone on longer? That paranoia as I left my dealers driveway, may have been a good thing!

OK, there are a limited few drugs that should be legalized. Regulated no differently than alcohol and or cigarettes.

I will never agree to all drugs being legalized or decriminalized.

As a libertarian, I am all for victimless crimes being removed from the books. However, there are so many drugs out there that cause people to end up being dependent of the tax dollars paid for by me and other responsible tax payers.

If a person can do the drugs they desire, and can do so without being subsidized by the government, then so be it if that's what they want to do.
