The entire internet should be forbidden? Hmm. I don't see that opinion too often.
Read more clearly, the internet is a hunting ground for pedos, and it should be banned to them. You know exactly what I meant, and because you cannot argue the logic, you want to word play. OK. You are still wrong.

Only if a resonable case can be made for their continued Internet use causing immediate and significant damages.
If, upon investigation, such a case does not hold water, the Internet user must be fairly compensated, as determined by the court, for any inconvenience suffered.
(In certain scenarios that would make it possible for both parties to have to pay damages, and that's fine with me. Stupid needs to be discouraged.)

So should we not allow them near malls? Kids are there and it could be a hunting ground. Or maybe movie theaters. Kids can be there too. Ooh, I know. How about we block them from going outside. After all, kids can be outside near where they are. Do you see how impractical this is?

We are talking about the internet not the other examples of your fallacy of false equivalency. They can be banned from schools, movie theatres, amusement parks, etc. sure, but most of those places have CCTV. I am reassured that you recognize the dangers that these criminals are to our society and children.

I think it is incredibly stupid to take away someone's access to the internet, something you need to function fully in society these days, solely because they allegedly pirated something. I would not even support if convicted of piracy. It is even more stupid to hold the ISP responsible for it. According to Sony BMG alleged pirates are not deserving of the same rights as pedophiles. Not only is this idea incredibly stupid, it seems unconstitutional as well.

These media companies constantly overstep their boundaries and try to make piracy seem like the worst crime someone can commit, and politicians and judges who do not understand technology only help them.

Who do you think is in the right here BMG or Cox?

Pirating is illegal.

First offense -whatever.

Second offense.....condition of parole, no access or face jail.

Is that reasonable?

Crimes get parole conditions all the time.

The question is about *alleged* pirates. Aren't you presumed innocent until proven guilty?

Just for allegedly downloading the latest episode of Game of Thrones? Should we make the penalty for jaywalking the death penalty?

After trial, of course.....and no time off for good behavior. That is for stealing the game, jaywalking eventually supplies its own penalty.

No of course not . . .theres no logical reason for them to lose it.

Should we take away someone's electricity, too?
