I bring this up because after comey was fired, every screamed it was because he was a showboater or trump trying to obstruct justice.

I pieced together off the odd fact every groundbreaking whitehouse leak ended with comey being fired, combined with the abruptness of his firing and the rash of leaks that occurred right before his firing. From my opinion comey was the one leaking white house material from day one to undermine the president, and he finally got caught doing it.

There is a lot of rumors and even fox news article on the admin supposedly having caught him back to march leaking to the ny times, I need to dig them up but to save yall time they were from anonymous sources, so the credibility of them needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

Add to that putin has offered exile to comey in the same manner he offered snowden, which raises the question if putin knows more than the public on why comey was fired, and what may happen to comey in the future.

NO, I don't believe Comey was the "serial leaker" during his term under Trump. :no:

There are were plenty of "former officials" and still a few "current officials" loyal to prior administrations to provide the bulk of such leaks.

That's not even counting the civil servants and "contractors" whose political position is opposed to the current Administration.

Yes, IMO I believe he leaked what should have been considered "confidential" conversations with the President while he was still the FBI Director, but I do not believe he supplied all those other leaks.

That is probably true, the trump admin had been doing purges since all those leaks broke out, keep in mind though the comey thing is not fact but theory, and will remain such until the admin admits it, or someone other than an un named anonymous source leaks it, with some form of credibility.

My theory though is that he was the serial leaker, not meaning the only one, but given the abrupt end of white house leaks at the same time of his firing, I believe he may have been the main contributor.
 
There are, apparently, plenty of leakers in Trumps White House.

That's why Spicer collected all the phones of his WH staff so the contacts could be checked.

When the President of the United States, the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and the Chief Executive of the Federal Government dismisses everyone in order to have a private conversation with one of his subordinates, this constitutes a "confidential" conversation.

Otherwise he would have had the entire press corps and/or as many public witnesses as needed to show it was open for general consumption. It's not like it needs an official stamp like a government document. :doh

So, if Mr. Comey can "assume" a statement of "hope" is equivalent to an order; how then could he not "assume" that a private conversation initiated by his boss on "sensitive" topics would NOT be at least the lowest level of information security, i.e. "confidential?" :roll:

I am referring to prior to his firing, not after his firing, with all those white house leaks hitting ny times cnn and wapost daily that abruptly ended with comey being fired, like despite the trump amdins changing story, they found out he was the leaker since january.

Umm this kind of proves my point though, we are now on people familiar with blah blah blah or a guy who knew a guy who dated a girl who knew her brother who talked to a low level fbi once.

All the prior leaks were very high level, either from high level white house officials or from high level fbi or cia officials, who have the means to obtain such info. There have been leaks after, but no major ones, infact the last major leak came from comey after being fired, which was his memos.

I somehow believe the trump admin knew for quite a while the leaks were comeing from either the fbi or the cia, and for the longest time could not pinpoint who.

I do not think either of them were the leakers, but I would not put it past their power struggle games. I think comey was the big leaker, some of the small leakers exist, and I actually think trump himself is one of the leakers. Everytime some anonymous white house official says something to defend trump, you have to wonder if the anonymous source was trump, with the msm filtering his speeech. Administrations in the past have conducted leaks for various reasons, either to defend themselves or to test public opinion.

But for major leakers, outside comey who was heavily trusted by trumps admin which would explain why it took so long to find, I bet the other lesser leakers are lower level republicans and democrats, or maybe someone close to trump like mattis, someone he would never check for loyalty.

Seems hyper partisans, CTers, last part not saying you are a CTer and such all want to hang Comey. No he did not leak documents. Others did, the documents are not limited to a few people.
Look at the time frames and what happened as the Comey thing progressed, start with Clinton meeting Lynch on an aircraft/ or airport. That is the reason he made the public announcement ref HRC as if it came from Lynch, people would have claimed it was fixed. he was protecting the DOJ and its reputation including the investigation and the FBI. Lynch's meeting caused him to do that.
Or you could start back when he was Acting AG under Bush. His credentials are not in question

To claim comey was the leaker with absolute evidence, no that is a theory backed up by circumstantial evidence, not hard evidence. But why do you not question why all the groundbreaking heavy leaks ended with comeys firing? It is just too much curcumstantial evidence to ignore.

Yes, but some of those leaks had to come from someone very close. Not a former official or someone removed from the WH.

The leaks I am referring to are the leaks from trumps innauguration until may when comey got fired and they abruptly ened, not about lynch and clinton, do you really think trump would fire comey for helping him jeez.

On the other note, there is more circumstantial evidence for my claim than there is for the trump russia collusion, yet we have a full investigation for one and people refusing to aknowledge or even think about the possibility of the other.

I am not touting any of this as fact, more or less it is pointing out a coincidence of circumstantial evidence and timing, if you think it is just a conspiracy theory than leave, or simply provide discussion or rebuttal.
