We do construct our political identities. Our general point of view is established first. Weather right or left a persons POV comes first . The rational for those ideas follows. Or at least that's what I got from reading Jonathan Haidt's book. You may have your own ideas on the subject. Still his 2012 work (The Righteous Mind) is a fun read.
 
Buddhism, would even that look the same without religion? Many people are anti religion but firmly believe in spirituality.

I am the standard-bearer of truth, the light that breaks through the fog of disinformation and confusion, women want to have sex with me, men want to be me.
 
I wanna be an Internet Tough Guy.

- I want to be rude and obnoxious because I think it helps me "win".
- I want to seldom have any good points, but in the rare instances when I do, I will make sure to be unable to articulate them properly and not think them through to anything resembling a logical conclusion.
- I want to be able to lose my temper at the drop of a hat. And be bitter about it.
- I will misinterpret rather than ask for clarification.
- The strawman is the greatest invention ever, but I will endeavour to be unable to construct one properly.
- I will never admit to my opponents that they might have a point, because doing so would make me lose face.
- I will also never admit to making a mistake, because I think I can't lose face if I refuse to do so.
- It is also not enough to disagree with my opponents, they have to be evil and/or stupid too (see chapter IX: "Baseless Assumptions and how to be an Ass").
- If everything else fails, I will mention how I am a 9' 10 Navy Seal that moonlights as an MMA fighter and call people out.
- I want the last word. Even if what I say is completely pointless, I win if I get the last word.

I also want a small penis. Not sure why, but all the other ITGs have them.
 
To teach, learn and more than anything else...kill time.
 
Like I told another forum member in a private message about DP.

It's no different than standing at a bar with one of my democrat friends trading barbs, jabs, jokes, and laughing at each other's quips.

Too many folks on here are too stuck in their own self importance to laugh at themselves, or along with others.

As an opinionated dirty old man .
Now to be less honest ... a seeker of truth .. similar to looking for a clean public bathroom wall .
On the internet .. one out of a hundred are interesting .. if that many ..
