Let me ask, this being a nice chance to play your pristine, little used common sense card, on the scale of lies (and you really need t,o bone up on lies v exaggerations), are lies under oath more egregious than regular everyday, run of the mill misstatements?

If you need time to locate that card, I can wait.
 
As of last count trump has made 623 false or misleading statements since being inaugurated, while Comey made one inconsistent and one logically fishy statement.

If I were a betting man, I think I'd know which horse to put twenty dollars on.

Haven't watched any of the numerous hearings involving Comey I can tell.

Trump controls the tapes.

If #1 is the case, Trump would have already revealed them - and he has not - so that makes it very very unlikely.
If #2 is the case, Trump would NOT reveal them as they only work against him.

So logically, there either are no tapes or they would prove Comey is telling the truth.

Or there were never any tapes because Trump was bluffing because he tried to discourage Comey from telling lies.

That is a biased opinion. Obama, Hillary et al were constantly lying pieces of **** but that has escaped you, of course.
 
The real answer is "I don't know", but it is a little ridiculous at this point. It's like saying I don't know whether my daughter drew all over the walls or if it was the dog as she claims. I don't really know, but I have a pretty good idea.

You've come a long way in finally acknowledging that false or misleading statements are not necessarily lies. But, Comey has said a lot of things that can't be ranked one way or another yet. Just before Comey was fired the FBI was scrambling around trying to correct Comey testimony to the Senate that they said was "not accurate".
 
For what its worth, Loretta Lynch's people say its Comey.

I don't believe Trump ever said that Obama was from Kenya. I'd like to see evidence of that. All of the clips I have ever seen show Trump questioning where Obama was born and wanting to get to the bottom of it. He claimed there was no evidence that Obama was born in Hawaii but never presented any evidence that Obama was actually born in Kenya.
 
Comey's notes paraphrase what Trump said. They aren't an actual transcript of the conversation.

What I believe is that Comey accurately presented the substance of the conversation. Trump is most likely spitting hairs over exact wording.

That's how he gets away with spreading false information. He insinuates something and then backs off over and over again. It allows him to have a loophole whenever he makes a claim.
