First, we already have a system in place that prevents any President from making sweeping changes, so what exactly would this suspension of powers prevent ? So far what has Trump done that would have been prevented ??

And to the issue of outsdide influence, no I wouldnt support a suspension of Presidential power or a re-vote or new election, simply because no party, judiciary or legislation body is trust worthy enough to be given that level of authority and oversight. The judicial, legislative and executive branhes can all be influenced politically.

Thats what the Media and the Democrats have been trying to convince people of, sure. Unfortunately for them, they relied on the seriousness of the charge instead of evidence. The Democrats not only had a crappy hand, they overplayed it.

Instead of a intelligent and thoughful strategy that would have helped reconnect with all the disaffected working class voters that switched sides, they decided on a collective tantrum, a emotional and foolish ploy built on conspiracy theory lunacy.
There's was a emotional response to a strategic problem, and now theyre paying for it. Millenials piled into bars that opened at 9 am yesterday in the hopes of celebrating the end of Trumps Presidency but Comey's unhinged, and wound up doing Trump a massive favor
