Should America have stayed in the Paris Climate Accord?

Thoughts?

Only as an honest and sincere broker. As somebody who is deeply concerned about the climate i feel that the US under Trump would really only get in the way. Let the adults negotiate, and when the US is ready to formally join in 4 years there might actually be a meaningful deal in place.

On the other hand, it is sad to see the US decide to not participate as a leader in such an important issue. Europe, China, and India now have an opportunity to increase their global influence and play the role of global leader. Im honestly not sure if that is good or not.

I know that Trump will never be a credible global leader, but it could take years to recover from him.

It's a joke.

The US has done far more than most nations have. When the others near our levels of adapting, then we can talk about going farther. Until then, it is pointless to spend more money.

Denier whining about others.

I see a credibility issue.

Basically it was a non-binding commitment to reduce emissions with a set of guidelines. I have no idea how that could possibly negatively affect America in anyway. All pulling out accomplishes is making the US an international pariah. What Trump said by pulling out is that America cannot be trusted to meet its international commitments.

Lol international pariah. You liberals are such drama queens.

It is also about making money. There is plenty of economic opportunity that comes with investing in a low carbon future. Under Trump the US risks missing out on that opportunity. And without the US fully engaged in the process the entire world misses out on what the US can offer in this regard.

It is entirely false to think of US engagement in the Paris agreement as the US spending money without any benefit.

In the final analysis, this was a Trump domestic political decision.

Wasn't the decision to enter into the Paris agreement an obama domestic political decision? Was the senate or anyone else ever consulted before obama decided to attempt to build his legacy without regard to public opinion?

Oh please.

Stop drinking the kook-aid.

Whenever someone starts assuming that tens of millions of people ALL think a particular way OR are a particular way - than you know the person making the assumption is incredibly ignorant about what he/she is talking about.

To give a negative comment about the personalities of tens of millions of people you have never even met is the height of ignorance and prejudice.

And save the undoubtedly childish reply - your prejudice thoughts on this subject are not worth my time.

Have a nice day.

Oh look, more drama. You know, I don't really need your help in proving my points, but I thank you just the same.
