Is 90 - 95% of terrorism committed by Muslims?

The news media pushes their opinions and views as if they're speaking for all americans. I believe they are now mostly propaganda. Trump is trying to keep our cities from becoming another Baghdad or Tel Aviv or Beirut. Therefore, he is trying to minimize the flow of potential terrorists into the country. Who are the terrorists? Are they French? Norwegian? African? Maybe one or two. Are they Canadian? British? Japanese? Let's see...um....how about Muslim? Are they Muslim? That is the subject of this poll. The creation of this poll is not motivated by racism or prejudice because I am neither racist nor prejudiced towards any group of people. I'm just trying to bring to the surface what the media obfuscates.

I don't know what the percentage is. I do know that Muslims comprise:
1% of the USA
5% of the UK
7.5% of France.

And France seems to have the biggest issue with terrorism at present. (Of course excluding the ME, Africa, for the sake of this convo).

I disagree with your number. FARC, PKK (not all Kurds are muslim and the PKK is a nationalist group not a religious one), left wing terror groups & white nationalists do account for more than 10% of terrorists. Besides are you talking about this year ? The past ten years ?

However generally speaking, Islamic Terror Groups are more widespread & deadly :

- Hezbollah
- Taliban
- Boko Haram
- Hamas
- Al-Qaeda
- ISIS

The next time there "appears to be" an attack on any super power, or any provocation of war, the whole world just nukes Israel off the planet. How exactly is someone supposed to keep members of a religion out of the US. Has it never occurred to you that when asked if they're muslim, a terrorist might lie?

Its not about keeping Muslims out of the USA, it's about keeping them from becoming radicalized. Which is impossible.
Islamic terrorists who've successfully killed people in Europe and the US have varied backgrounds; some are foreigners, native born, converts, relapsed and then 'born again' types, etc.

The only constant theme is Islam.

As regards WorldWide terrorism as a result of hegemony, the USA is the leader of the gang. We have killed millions with wars that are an absolute type of terrorism.

I feel that there are two basic areas of life that create and deploy terrorists:

Religion and crime, especially the illegal drug trade. I'm sorry. The undocumented drug trade.

Most terror seems to rise from one or a combination of both of these.

Taking action to impede the spread of terror from both sources seems prudent.

Let's see...

What national leaders are trying to slow the import of these to the lives of American Citizens.

What national leaders are trying to remove any impedance to the import of these to the lives of American Citizens?

The difference is this:

The change the US is trying to effect is letting people assert self determination and buy designer shoes and jeans.

The effect actual terrorists are trying to effect is letting people get blown up at weddings and buy addictive drugs and explosives.

Yeah... Straight line parallel.

American "terror" activities result in thriving, democratically run, free market economies that create soaring standards of living for their people. IE: Japan, Germany, France and so on.

The crap you're trying to compare this to creates violence riddled, despotic, totalitarian theocracies or chaotic war zones. IE: Iran, Syria, Libya and so on.

You must be seeing something I don't.

Granted, during the Obama administration, every foreign policy decision resulted in toppled governments, misery and poverty for the common folk.

People throughout the Middle East are suffering in the wake of the plans executed by the duo of Barrack and Hillary. this needn't go on, though.

Obama pays off the Iranians who continue to do mischief and alienates the Israelis as often as possible. Trump organizes 50 Arab leaders to combat the problem in cooperation employing and empowering local solutions.

See the subtle difference?

I think protesting in public roadways and scaring people to death on their way to work or school could be considered a form of terrorism.
Violent protests in inner cities, with loss of life, injuries and property damage, are a form of terrorism. If you don't think so, dare go near it.
Terrorism as we understand the most convenient definition, is carried out by a minority of the Muslim population, just as it is by a minority of any other population.
Holding any populace in fear is terrorism in one way or another.
Terrorism isn't committed by one particular group, but by a congregation of like minded sick and brainwashed, hateful psychopaths.
 
At some point we have to call a spade a spade.
I don't know if it's 90% but I do know the vast majority of terrorism is committed by radical Muslims

The world is a big place, and if we only focus on one group, one group is all we see. The truth is terrorism comes in many flavors and creeds, from religious extremists to oil companies. A great deal of it funded and supplied by American interests decades ago during the Cold War.

If I had to guess, I would place most of the terrorism in the world in Africa. Most of it without religious affiliation, and affecting mainly poor regions.

This is why the war on terror will never end, because it's just a fancy word for people who bully you into doing what they want. That's always going to exist somewhere. And the only way to beat it, is to not be intimidated. And stop building it up into some great enemy. It's giving them more power than they have.

As long as bacon exists, Extremists will never be able to bring Sharia Law anywhere close to the West.

About 95% of those killed by terrorism are Muslim. About 300,000 people have been killed by attacks perpetrated by Muslims -- which is 10 times less then the number of civilians killed by USA since WWII.
