usa, usa, usa...Warren as pres would be good for the Country.

only if you believe in hypocritical anti corporate populism and a complete assault on most of the values that made this country Great. Lieyawatha is as big a scum bag as Hillary and probably more of a loon than Bernie

She would do well in repairing the damage Trump leaves behind.

Like the assault asshole from Montana, GiantFart, who believes in the 6,000 year theory for Earth .

That's so adorable! Does he believe that cavemen rode dinosaurs as well?

on some issues some republicans ignore facts. flag burning comes to mind. on other issues, Democrats tend to ignore facts, like gun control and some tax issues. There is no factual support for laws that target honest people actually decreasing crime. and a nation cannot tax its way to prosperity.

on abortion I don't know where the facts line up so I opt for allowing women that freedom

Wow, I just thought we were trading insults - all of the sudden stuff got real! Gun control, taxes and abortion, oh my! You left out religion. When I first joined this board someone suggested that if I wasn't Christian I didn't belong in the USA.

Progressives like Warren will win in 2018 with this economic message, if DEM type voters GOTV. After looking at your state, I see hope at the state legislative level, as long as they run on their district's issues. Democrats began losing midterms in earnest in the 1994s when they were dishonestly typecast as gun banners. Obama sidestepped guns in both of his elections until Sandy Hook. DEMs lost 9 Senators, mostly to guns, in 2014 .

My state is in the spasms of rabid right 'economic' theory. Drastic cuts in oil taxes, cutting corporate taxes, give it away tax breaks to lure new business in, and of course the old stand by reduce upper income taxes has bankrupted our state.

BY LAW the state legislature must produce a school funding bill by april 15th- they didn't and not one of them will face any legal consequence. For all the rabid right carries on about the left ignoring laws, the right does a mighty fine job as well... no howl from the rabid right over those law breakers.

I can only hope Oklahoma does break away from the insane 'trickle down' theory and produce realistic tax and spend bills... :peace

wow that's some serious envy. Like most of the envious you seem to think anyone in the top one percent has all sorts of power that we really don't have. why do so many people have children they expect others to help them raise? why do so many people deliberately engage in activities they know will cost others? that is true selfishness

More like pity tinged with a heaping helping of disgust...

Why does the upper .5% begrudge a TINY portion of their inherited wealth to help others who are working very hard and still not part of the country club set. (Why does the upper .5% think their whisper in certain ears doesn't roars louder than thousands marching in the street?) The elite have a de-facto feudalistic society- I guess because you can't have debtor's prison or a true serf class you feel 'powerless'???

But there you go again, pretending most these people set out to be laid off, cut as corporations send jobs overseas or play casino capitalism that nets YUGE profits by selling the market (and country) short and thus fall into hard times.

To begrudge a bit of the millions Daddy gives a child (money that does little more than serve as a score to the born rich child) to help others (and churn through the economy far more than the hedge fund or off shore account)

That is TRUE selfishness... Scrooge must be one of your favorites... :peace

Trump types didn't make this country great. They are the ones who make it ugly and disgusting. But, of course, you'd have to actually pay attention to his actions, like the money laundering which went on in his casinos before he put them in chapter 11.

Alluding to my earlier posts, this is the sort of thing that fills me with apprehension about Warren's commitment to her ideals/principles over party loyalty. At absolute best she seems to be maneuvering to get past Dem establishment gate keepers for a presidential run down the line, tightroping between them and her beliefs.

Then we get this:

Mixed signals for sure, but if she continues to be consistent, I'll be happy to support her if she makes a presidential run contingent on her primary opponents. Tulsi Gabbard and the B man himself are presently more deserving of that.

One is as bad as the other. But I voted Warren as worse simply because it was a yes or no poll. Either would bring this country to it's knees.

I kind of like her, what little I've seen of her. If you want to vote for a centrist, she's probably as good as they come.

Worse at what?

Cribbage? Ball hockey? Knitting? Performing fellatio? Straining whole wheat linguine?

I can't bring myself to vote for anyone who groveled at the feet of Hillary. Tulsi Gabbard would get my vote.

I'd rather strip about 90% of someone's inheritance to make sure everyone has to get a base hit before they can get to third. That would level the playing field a bit. :)

Spoken like someone who feels entitled to a piece of somebody else's money.

Why is someone born from the right vagina entitled to the money?

Tulsi Gabbard is the real deal. Elizabeth Warren is just a corporate hack trying her best to mask the fact that she's a Hillary stooge.

This looks increasingly accurate; again, arguable maneuvering so party leadership won't try to thwart her in the primaries, but this looks pretty bad; she also defended shameless corporatist Joe Manchin during that same interview which was full of cringeworthy dodging:

Exactly. It's not the GOP she has fooling, it's the liberals. It kinda reminds me of a poignant comment Donna Brazile made in 2011 during the GOP primary debate in New Hampshire. She said that Mitt Romney was among the weakest candidates the GOP could field and I agreed with her, but the panel of "experts" all laughed. That memory is burned into my mind because it made me realize something: The GOP said they wanted to compete against Hillary. The GOP are saying they want to compete against Warren. That should be surprisingly telling. If the people on the other side are saying they want to compete against candidate "x", then think twice about running candidate x.
