Should Dean of Yale be Fired for Racist Remarks?

Should Yale Dean be fired for racist comments online?

If the very people whom the term describes generally do not feel it is derogatory...than DUH...it is NOT derogatory.
.

oh. Lets see you roll up to some gentlemen from compton and hear some of that rap music slang thats been so popular for years.

You may want to have 911 on speed dial, a medic, and defibrillator on hand before trying something like this.

She did not speak derogatorily against whites as a whole. She did not contribute to systemic privilege or disadvantage. She did not claim whites are inferior. Nothing racist about what she said. No societal damage. Whites will continue to enjoy privilege, even poor whites.

Its just a difference of scale. The formula is the same regardless. Which race doesnt matter. Blank trash. Insert your color of choice.

She should join Bob Beckle at the unemployment line.

Don't think she should be fired but she's an embarrassment to Asian ethnics & Yale.
Just like the Asian AG's from Hawaii & Maryland who stopped Trumps 7 nation ban
to err on the safe side guarding against terrorism. These types give Asaian's a
bad rap!

No, it's a difference of impact. Which race does matter.

Whites are not a disadvantaged minority.

What part of being referred to as trash is advantageous exactly?

Her statement makes no difference. No social impact. No racism. No privilege. No nothing.

It's just an opportunity for snowflakes to cry.

Oh, sure, let me explain to you.

The right hypocritically cries out in terror against the "offensive" speech of private people while aiding and abetting the most lewd president we've had in five generations.

Trump isn't mentioned in the OP, sorry. Not going to engage with irrelevant derail attempts.

Neither do yours, yet some 60k have been made here.
I demand an inquiry.

It's just an opportunity for snowflakes to cry.

That's cultural appropriation, and decency kitty is not amused.

To you perhaps. Others who were actually affected economically like the owners of a business may feel differently.

Regardless they will soldier on despite the slings and arrows of those displaying the telltale signs of elitists entitled lunatics.

She should but I'm sure the SJW will give her an award for standing up for their version of "the truth".

She should be made to go on a date with Trump so he can grab her va-jay-jay and show her what white trash looks like in a tailored suit... :peace

Fishking- I included you here, just to gauge your opinion of the NYT story below. I know you're much more sane than the other 2 I quoted.

Did this woman deserve to be fired?

https://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/15/...id-tweet-ruined-justine-saccos-life.html?_r=0

She never directly used any racial slurs. Answer honestly please.

First, that was a good article. Secondly, no, I don't think she deserved to be fired. I don't think her comments were racist but merely racially insensitive. Those two things are not the same, at all.

However, this type of public shaming and crucifixion seems mostly to be a movement mostly on the left, among the SJW crowed and it will not change until they are subjected to the same treatment. Equal standards of application of this type of (in)justice must be applied.

Reading that article I was glade to see that two of the people who participated in such a thing were also attacked or had significant backlash who also had their lives ruined, or at least disrupted. Hopefully they will have true understanding an perspective instead of only being sorry that it happened to them. I felt no pity for them, though.

Sorry but your sociology-programmed paradigms are a joke and intellectually bankrupt.

Trump isn't mentioned in the OP, sorry. Not going to engage with irrelevant derail attempts.

I was explaining my argument about why it's hypocritical for the right to cry about a yelp review that contained the words "white trash" while fighting things like freedom of speech, the right to vote, and freedom of religion.

As long as she's president a significant amount of white parents in that area will insist that their
brightest children steer away from Yale & apply to similar top notch schools in that area like Dartmouth,
Bates, Baldwin, Middlebury or Wesleyan. Columbia & Cornell also are fairly closeby.

Apparently June Chu made other 'racist remarks' online, but the CBS story doesn't say what those were. I doubt that she would still have a job if she'd insulted Asian or black customers by using a racial slur.

Should June Chu lose her job as a dean at Yale University?

If she's going to praise diversity while trashing white people on the side, she ought to be fired for hypocrisy.

Hello? That is the recent dictionary that has been affected by PC'ers like you.

K, so your argument has turned from 'I'm only going to pick the part of the source I like' to 'you're PC so I won't argue!'. Buddy, if you don't like your sources being used against you, try not using one which completely refutes whatever point it is you're making?

Her statement makes no difference. No social impact. No racism. No privilege. No nothing.

It was made on a public forum and it's obviously having some social impact.

Where will it end?

'White trash' spoken on your own time online is grounds for dismissal?

White trash? If that is the worst thing anybody ever calls me - I would love it.

What is next?

That person looks bad in that dress. FIRED.

'White' people are melanin-inferior. FIRED.

'Your boyfriend smells like cheese' FIRED.

'I hate the colors of aqua, pink, white and tan'. FIRED.

'I hate...' FIRED.

'I think...' FIRED.

Hey. There could be a reality tv show about that someday. Hmmm.
