Should Trump be impeached? *WARNING*! If you vote yes, you have to say specifically what offense he committed that he should be impeached for.

Is being an arrogant, not too bright, mentally delusional, authoritarian leaning, serial lying, incompetent asshole who is in danger of ruining the nation and hurting the American people after holding the office illegitimately a high crime or a misdemeanor?

I voted yes but I voted yes because a witch-hunt impreachment will increase Trump's popularity as he becomes a sympathetic figure to the public. Trump has broken no laws.

No, as a matter of fact it's not. I love how the haters have been demanding, screaming, and praying for an impeachment, but when finally asked "what crime was committed", they've demurred every time. Even they've even abandoned their "obstruction of charges by firing Comey" statements. It's beyond shameful.

Other - not yet, but if a high crime is discovered I would much prefer that Pence take over.

Trump can be impeached for any reason no matter how petty.
Not by a Republican majority senate. That would be political suicide and they know it.

Don't get me wrong - I suspect there will be ample legal basis for impeachment with Obstruction of Justice on that list.

My personal opinion however is that Trump must be removed today and barring that, ASAP before he ruins this country and harms the American people more than he already has and I really don't care what the reason is or the exact methodology used to achieve that goal as long as its legal.

That remains to be seen. Many would likely see Pence as an improvement.

The problem there is that Pence was elected along with Trump as a product of the same illegitimate Russian interference in the election and with the aid of the same people who used that interference get the ticket elected. If Trump has to go as a result of the Russian scandal - Pence if part and parcel of that same ticket.

So basically, you've only wanted an impeachment because you don't like Trump. It was Stalin who said "Find me the man and I'll find you the crime". At least you've acknowledged the left's desire for totalitarianism.

Only barely, scientific measuring equipment needed for the distance up......

That's the definition or "rock and a hard place!"

That may be true for some but trump has many loyal followers that would likely not vote for anyone involved in impeaching trump.

NO. I hate Trump. To say I do not like him does not accurately describe my feelings. It is totalitarianism that I am trying to prevent by getting rid of the idiot ASAP.

Impeachment does not require the POTUS to actually break a law.

OK, but since that would not drive them to vote for a demorat instead how does that hurt the republicant party? Not many incumbents worry much about getting "primaried" or lack a cushy after office job offer just in case. IMHO, getting a House majority to favor impeachment is unlikley to begin with so the point is likely moot.

Does he need to?

Yes, it could be....

The purpose of impeachment is not to prosecute a crime as much as it is to protect America from a bad leader. It is a political event rather than a legal one.

He should be impeached as he is woefully unfit for office and consistently puts his personal interests ahead of the country. He should be impeached over emoluments, at the very least.

Low turnout can be enough to sway an election. They dont need to vote for the other party

He's demonstrated that he's a danger to the U.S. on so many occasions, in so many creative ways, that he deserves the award, for sure.

Personally I think there should be a minimum requirement for candidates, like there are for people who serve in areas of national security. They should pass background investigations, finance investigations, and psychological screening, at a minimum. I mean, my wife wrote software for a military contractor and they did all that, why would we not do that for the highest office in the land, that has access to most any classified data, nuclear codes, etc.? Trump would fail the psych eval, and possibly fail the "blackmail risk/financial conflicts of interest" evaluation.

It's not like he was competent and then suddenly went crazy....he should have been stopped at the door by the Republican party.
