Following last week's holy mackerel what is going on!?!? and today's Trump possibly sharing secrets with Russia... I think it's time to revisit when he might be asked to go home.
 
He's never going to be impeached.

Partly because of frequency, he's said and done so much crazy **** that you hardly have time to focus on the one thing before he moves on to something else.
 
Dems would be foolish to impeach him because then Pence would be president and he would be much more effective and difficult to beat in 2020.

Trump can't be busted for leaking classified information; he can declassify pretty much anything.

That said, these kinds of massive blunders continue to erode the support of elected Republicans. If he does something that is seirously illegal, or if they find real evidence of illegal activity during the campaign, it could get ugly.

That said, impeachment could backfire if Trump still has support of Republican voters. If nothing else, he'd burn down the entire White House and Republican Party rather than resign or go quietly.

For the Democrats, I agree. But not for the country itself, and right now I'm more concerned about the country literally imploding than I am about either the democrats OR the republicans petty partisan concerns.

It is odd to say that the most comforting words we could all possibly hear in the next 4 years are "President Pence".

Pence would never get elected as a president, his homophobia and sentiments towards women have ruined any viability he may have had in regards to being seen as a good president.

But he's an adult, and he won't continue this chaos and the ensuing lack of credibility of this WH. I am not running around pretending my hair is on fire about the damage I fear Trump will do and has done; my hair is on fire. He scares the crap out of me because he's worse than anything my worst fears even dared to consider.

Pence would be a disaster in domestic policy but I don't think it would take decades to repair relations with allies either.
 
Not until the Democrats retake the House, which will not happen at least until the start of 2019. The Republicans are too spineless to even consider impeachment, even though Pence is next in line.

Exactly. This past few months has made us a global pariah with our allies, emboldened our enemies, and has absolutely thrilled Putin and the Kremlin, who I'm sure had no idea how much their machinations would actually further Russia's goals and interests, while weakening the USA. Win-win for them.

Trump must be removed from office. As long as he stays in, the national dialogue will never salvage itself. The press will report on Trump. They will get accused of lying. Then they will accuse the administration of lying. And the American people, will become so rebuffed and fatigued, that they will believe whatever they want to ~ a roulette of truth. Some will go full blown Alex Jones level conspiracy.. "No.. it's the chips in your brain, man! I'm telling you don't buy aluminum foil, man!" And some will become disinterested and just quit voting. The idea that Americans can't agree on reality should trouble everyone. America is in a K-hole.

WaPo reports! Fake News! Heard Yesterday our Secretary of State... You don't believe that do you? Did you hear Obama wiretapped Trump? You trust Trump, the guy lies like a rug?

It's unmanageable. And guess who's at the rotten core of it all? Trump.
 
Let's remember that Johnson violated an unconstitutional law and was not actually ousted and Clinton's sins didn't get him removed either.

its a bogus question because you can claim proceedings have started the minute some moron like Maxine Waters or Chuck Schemer stands up in the house or the senate and screams for impeachment.

if you mean a vote on impeachment being called in the house-I'd say never. If you mean the scenario I have discussed above-its already happened

It's not the crime, it's the coverup. Presidents have almost unfettered powers to basically do anything and everything that would put a normal person in prison. But they can't Obstruct Justice, and they can't lie under oath.

That's why I'm so damned scared. Unless Trump gets angry enough to take his marbles, resign and go home, imagine the horrors he could inflict upon this country and in fact the globe in four freakin' years? It's... Twilight Zone stuff!

American politicians don't have the cojones for such a thing. They are a herd and even the outside members of the current herd, the Dems are insiders too. Of course there are always the odd honest few folks but by and large, they are all crooks and liars, hanging in there to ensure their pensions.
