Would Hillary Have Fired Comey?

If Hillary was president would she have fired Comey?

Trump won the election because he WAS able to think one move ahead. His opponents continue to underestimate him. They all think he is a 4th grader and then wind up shaking their heads at to how a 4th grader beat them. Just ask Hillary and 16 Republicans.
 
Yes. And at some point, Comey would have tripped, fallen down a flight of stairs, and then landed on a bullet.

I had to answer "Don't know".

It would really all depend on what she decided would be most politically beneficial to herself. Lots of variables.

She has history with him.
She owes him.
She knows stuff about him.
He knows stuff about her.
He might be useful to her.
He might NOT be useful to her.
And on and on...

If I HAD to make a guess, I'd say she would probably keep him on...if only to keep him close and keep tabs on him. On the other hand, I suspect he wouldn't want to be around her all that much and he might be inclined to resign.
 
Yes, Hillary would have fired Comey, for many of the same reasons that Trump fired him.

Since when have Clinton's not thrown someone under the bus?

I pretty much agree with this, but she would have had enough sense to make it appear less petty.

Those answering "no" are being dishonest. Hillary has a history of punishing anyone she considers disloyal to her. She would have fired him in a heart beat.

The left has already shown that it doesn't care about Democrats and their interactions and business relationships with the Russians.
 
I do not know and neither does anyone else...except maybe Hillary herself.

The left, the liberals, the Democrats, the centrists and independents, and the mainstream GOP would have insisted the investigation continue and perps jailed if accused and convicted.

I don't think so, it would be looked at as retribution and being she was ultimately let off and she would have won, why bother.
 
I think it's rather interesting--and telling--that answers break down along predictable partisan lines (left: no way; she will have won, and she's not stupid like Trump. right: hell yeah, she's a vindictive bitch with a history of throwing people under the bus). In fact, no one can know what she would have done--probably not even Hillary herself.

Are you kidding? That's the way most topics break down anymore.

Sometimes I am reluctant to start threads and polls because too few people actually think anymore, they just knee-jerk react. Then again sometimes I play Pavlov and start a thread or poll just to watch certain people come in to get their food pellet.

Sorry. sport. the whole Russian collusion thing is a left wing fantasy dreamed up the day Trump jokingly asked the Russians to help find Hillary's missing 30,000 emails. And the only reason they are still pushing so hard on it is that they feel embarrassed and humiliated that a political novice that they had laughed off as a clownish buffoon beat their nominee. They are now pathologically enraged. When the investigations result in "no evidence of collusion", the letdown for those of you on the left will be worse on you then the defeat of Hillary Von Pantsuit.

Yep, you are drinking the Trump drink of choice. Trump is the angry one, not his opponents, who are calm and cool and collected and coming for him. There is nowhere for him and his orange-os to hide.
