Why not $30/hr? Or $50, or $100? Wouldn't that get them out of their situation faster?

$15/hr for a guaranteed job is reasonable given modern wages and prices.

Sadly without Welfare State many Americans turn to crime and dealing drugs to earn a livelihood.

Why is $30 not more reasonable? I am not surprised you think so little of people TBH.

It is an interesting idea. Everyone would be provided for even if they can not work. Unfortunately, some people would spend such income on drugs. I believe a much better plan would be the provision of free housing, free food, and free medical care to anyone who does not have them. Maybe that should be supplemented by a small allowance.

Not cash. But, I can see the day when robots do most of the work and we all live on a free credit system. I'm hoping to be long gone by then though.
