With Trump as the boss, and Trump's Admin being a complete mess and incompetent, add in Trump's constant war with the Media. Spicer is the Press Secretary and his boss has declared war on the Press. Not a good situation. lol

Because of Trump's incompetence the Press has a TON of ammo. And because of Trump's war with the Press the media can't wait to use that ammo. Spicer, or whoever is crazy enough to be Trump's Press Secretary in the future is in a no win situation.
 
Spicer is fully cognizant of the Trump WH PressSec job stipulations and is well compensated for his efforts.

He accepted this appointment and willingly engages in dispensing 'alternate facts' for the Trump administration.

Spicer is the daily 'face' of Trumps war on the media and revels in this role.

In any pre-Trump presidential administration, Spicer would have been jettisoned long long ago.

Your premise is faulty.

Spicer doesn't say incorrect stuff. The stuff he says is deliberately misconstrued, twisted and spun in to something he did not say.

Spicer could say the sky is blue...the media will spin that into something racist...and you'll call for him to be fired.

Spicer wouldn't say the sky was blue though. He'd trot out some alternative facts about why it's actually ecru.

More silliness from you. Do you know what his job is? Now I personally wish he would go as I don't like him but he is doing the job Trump hired him to do. What if you were in his shoes? Would you handle the job the way you wanted to and get fired by Trump or would you do the job Trump hired you to do and then have someone on DP make a stupid poll asking if you should be fired for doing your job?

I would reassign him but for different reasons than you cite. Just don't think he is a good enough public speaker. Does not seem to be very agile on his feet. Also he is to combative seems angry. So he is not an effective spokesperson. Trump needs a eloquent person in that job as he too is not a good speaker IMO.

Look all of these folks spin (some to prefer to call it lies) in representing their administration. Sure the press is tough on him and the president, but his job is to put the best face possible on whatever comes out of the white house. He makes Trump's job harder not easier because of his bluster in my view.

Trump would be hard put to find anyone of any better caliber to parrot the lies and ignorant statements he's made by trying to put a decent spin on them. Trump is getting just what he paid for, a loyal lapdog who will jump through whatever hoops his boss holds up without flinching. Besides, no decent press/communications director would take the job under this inept, incompetent, and potentially corrupt administration.
 
My thoughts exactly... He has a tough job indeed, but what a book contract he'll get!

Just for the heck of it, who do you think should be press secretary? Should Obama have appointed Rush Limbaugh to be his press secretary? I mean, the job is the job, for whatever it is worth. I think all of Obama's press secretaries were lying pieces of ****. You don't know how many times I wanted to throw something through the television at them. But, the job was the job, I didn't expect Obama to appoint someone who didn't speak for Obama. They are the spokespeople for the president. You can't expect them to something different.
