With the recent sexual assault scandals that have become public in the past year, has your opinion of the network changed? For me, I used to be a big Fox News fan, but not anymore.

Oh please. You were never a FOX News fan. Why would you even say that? Anyway, all of the allegations don't have much to do with the actual news content. It hasn't changed the news, whether you are a diehard supporter or a FAUX News hound.

You should check back at my posting history. Like this thread I made four years ago... https://www.debatepolitics.com/bias-in-the-media/151234-why-does-left-hate-fox-news.html

I still agree with most of this. Why would I make that thread if I didn't? I was the first to defend Fox News back in the Romney days, but since then something has gone rotten.

You obviously don't work in a professional environment with women.

This type of action shouldnt be considered normal and should be shuned. I am in agreement with you on that. But to escolate a situation from bad taste to legal action is a big difference with bigger consiquences. My view is lawsuits that claim this as being the sole evidence that gives them grounds is baseless.

Totally OT, but I always wondered how Nancy Grace gets guests. She treats even the guests that are on her side like crap.

Must be good money, I suppose.

I didn't know she was still on the air anywhere. I first heard of her because of the Lacy Peterson case, and hearing her voice only once was enough for me. What a harpy.

Judge Jeanine is nearly as awful--so strident.

An interesting an revealing chart that is. I was rather surprised how often the results matched up with which sources I trust and don't (and no, there are right wing sources I don't trust, Glenn Beck for instance.

I think we should look at both the far left and far right, then left and right, all through the prisim that each media is bias and try to take the facts out of all their opinions and then come up with are own ideas. I believe we're at a cross roads in the media that if the media source we currently have dont change then we will have one of two outcomes. 1. People start researching themselves and shun the media and learn the become self enlightened. Or 2. We all become less aware of the facts and only concern ourselves with the truth that pushes are own agendas. If i was a betting man id put money on the later.

Yeah, big fox news guy, sure you were.

My problem isnt' teh scandals, it's the new leadership... they are gonna turn Fox into MSNBC.

This accurate. Over the course of the last period of time we have seen the biased lame stream media fawning over their preferred president with nary any critical reporting, as well as nothing but negative reporting on the president that wasn't. I don't think it inaccurate to say that the biased lame stream media is hell bent on destroying the present president and his administration with a constant torrent of negative attack coverage regardless of what they do.

Seems that this is the more likely course, I'd agree, and in doing so, the biased lame stream media will continue to lose both the trust and belief in their reporting by the electorate. Eventually the electorate will, if they haven't pretty much already, put the biased lame stream media, and their reporting, on ignore.

Changing of the guard (leadership) at Fox News, from old man Murdoch to his son. This will be a change.

Whether or not this will make Fox News MSNBC is yet to be seen. It would be a shame to see Fox News significantly alter its reporting and content, as it is one of the more popular more conservative news outlets awash is a sea of liberal / progressive biased lame stream media news outlets. A shame indeed.

Maybe, if changes are made, the Murdoch's will finally have a news organization that is fair and balanced.

If that happens another outlet will fill the void with even more questionable content.

I dont watch TV, and when I did I rarely watched Fox but a bit for a couple of years, but nothing has come out about Fox which surprises me in the least.

My opinion of Fox News has not changed a bit--that news outlet is pro-conservative as much as MSNBC is pro-progressive. Just one reason I watch CNN for a more centrist point of view. I'll go out and screw up the way I vote on my own; I don't need MSNBC or Fox News to help me.

Changed? Not at all. The organization is not responsible for the behaviour of it's employees. Even employees and associates who knowingly cover by sweeping dirt under the rug. That sort of thing happens everywhere.

My position on Fox News continues to be based upon their support of and the pushing of conservative politics and ideology.

This was the consensus yesterday of my Friday lunch-bunch. I've read about the strong influence of James Murdoch's wife, but I'm going to bet that Fox won't turn into MSNBC lite. If it does, it may gain new viewers--and Fox does need to attract a younger demographic, but it will lose millions more, IMO.

Yes it has. A bunch of women have left the network and now their "traditional values," slogan is kinda pointless.

That's not their slogan.

Not having looked at your link, but I just have to ask, how many men have left Fox News? Are we going to assume they left because they were being abused too?

Tony Snow,Eric Burns, Marc Lamont Hill, Bob Beckel, Dick Morris, Bill Kristol, Ed Henry, and Glenn Beck right off the top of my head.
