yes, corporations are known for wanting to give $13 million to assorted plaintiffs despite that there is no evidence of guilt

Eh...didn't Slick Willie pay off Paula Jones in the sum of $850K. I don't remember the outrage of the left like I am hear now on a talking head on FNC. I can remember many MSNBC talking heads getting the boot for more outrageous behavior. Starting with Martin Bashir.

With the recent sexual assault scandals that have become public in the past year, has your opinion of the network changed? For me, I used to be a big Fox News fan, but not anymore.

I'll give Fox credit for doing the smart business thing here. O'Reilly was toxic to them and they cut him loose. That was the right thing to do from a business perspective.

My opinion of the network as a whole varies. They have joke shows like Fox and Friends, and Hannity. They have quality shows like Bret Baier's show. This incident didn't change my opinion, good and bad, of them.

Bill Clinton isn't a corporation.

Is there any chance of us ever discussing a current event on this site without having the Clintons brought up?

They've always been garbage, and let's not pretend that kicking O'Reilly out is about anything other than saving their own necks. They already paid $13 million to cover up his past transgressions, they're not letting him go out of some moral sense of obligation now.

1. There has been zero evidence produced.

2. There is plenty of evidence to call the accusations into question.

3. Those who know O'Reilly well know his character, demeanor, and how he treats people.

So it is an opinion and not fact. That is all you needed to say.

Bill O'Reilly is a good man, but you can clearly tell the liberal media has a deep-seeded hatred towards him.

I was watching one of the far more liberal outlets today and one of the announcers was saying Bill O'Reilly was sexually harassing a woman for calling her a blonde.

I believe the dizzy broad's name was Kirsten Powers who ironically was once dating a pervert Democrat in Anthony Weiner.

1. Funny you think Fox News just let him go because of nothing? That makes no sense

2. Like what?

3. Do you know him personally? If you don't you should stop acting like you do and look into his custody battle with his wife. The man is a monster and a hypocrite.

What can be blamed on Fox News is it's apparent culture of allowing at least two of its employees to get away with sexual harassment for as long as it did.

You are one of the exceptions. I think most loyal Fox News viewers will stay put.

I think it's quite telling that the totality of the right wing media is being shot up in flames now that Republicans are in charge of everything. From their top rated news show, to their top rated radio show host Rush to conspiracy nutcase Alex Jones. They are either being accused of something that they can't shake, or basically admit to the public that they are lying to them. I really liked some of the stuff the right wing media used to do, but now I know it's all fake. It's like they don't know what to do with each other now that they won everything, so they end up getting stuck in their own poop. Everyone on the right needs to calm the F down a bit and let the Democrats do something stupid for a change.

I am highly disappointed in the right wing base. Way to act civil guys... There are only so many times where you can blame this on the vast left wing conspiracy before you must admit that this is a systematic problem in that industry.

See my post above this one and you'll see why I'm disappointed. Then you have trolls like Trump and Milo who taking up conservative talking points and basically mocking everybody while he laughs all the way to the bank. It's become so obvious to me I can't watch it anymore.

... I do not believe for a minute that O'Reilly is guilty of the charges against him, at least in the way they are being publicized. Nor does anybody who knows O'Reilly well.

On what do you base this conclusion? Whom do you know that knows O'Reilly well?

Yeah, you got nothin'.

Yep, when all else fails, deflect and pivot to Bill Clinton. Kelly Anne Conway would be proud of you!

It looks like it's you that have hatred to anything liberal and will defend anyone that agrees with you regardless of whatever they've been alleged to do.

All the right is doing these days is looking for ways to bash liberals and blame liberals for anything they consider to be wrong with the world. This includes what's happening on DP. There's a lot of liberal hate goin' on.

It's tough to look inward and take the blame for anything.

I understand. There are still some good folks on Fox. Chris Wallace, Tucker Carlson, and Shepard Smith are ok.

On what basis do you call him a monster and a hypocrite? Do you know him personally? Or do you just dislike him and/or Fox News so much you will believe anything the leftwing media, who also hates him and Fox News, puts out there as absolute fact?

On what do you base this conclusion? Whom do you know that knows O'Reilly well?

My basis is from accounts that are not from people who have reason to want O'Reilly taken down. And the fact that there is zero proof provided and those who know O'Reilly personally see the accusations, none of them witnessed of course, as totally out of character for him. And there is too much evidence that O'Reilly in no way hurt the careers of those who accused him of that.

Did he ever say something inappropriate? Probably he did as all of us do at some time or another. But I have seen far too many opportunistic lawsuits in my time to believe that these accusations against O'Reilly are anything but just that and I wouldn't be at all surprised if they were politically motivated.

Yeah, you got nothin'.

I don't need to have anything. But I'm pretty sure those accusing O'Reilly have pretty much nothin'. And I am 100% certain that those of you who really REALLY want to believe he is the awful person as he is accused have absolutely nothin' other than your pleasure that he got fired.

Nope...it is a news channel whose demographic is OLD and ridiculously out of touch with society (all major news networks viewers are principally OLD...but Fox is especially so).

And that is evident after watching almost anything on it for 2 minutes.

It's a network for out-of-touch dinosaurs.

If you get most of your news from Fox News...than it is highly likely that you are almost completely clueless about the world around you (again, the same with any MSM network...but especially so with Fox).

Other than Shepard Smith...I have no use whatsoever for Fox News.

I think blindly protecting members of ones political group is actually an act of self preservation.

It's like when Truthers believe anything bad about a particular Truther is fake.

It's as if they think buying into such group coverage will somehow protect them. It's as if they can now count on fellow members to run defense for them, having been blindly faithful to the group.

No. All any of the bigger news outlets are good for is knowing what topics are trending. None of them are actually valuable as an actual news source and are full of bias.

No, not in the least.

If anything, it's even worse now, given that they new all about Billo's transgressions for a long time and did nothing to address it until the public found out.

That, and they're hardly covering the story themselves.

Yeah and by contrast, imagine if they had info about a democrat or a msnbc anchor's sexual infidelities. How long you think it'd take them to break the story? Over/under 5 minutes?

Alternates between tabloid trash and propaganda trash is all. May as well be freaking north korea with the extent they strive to be the illegitimate Trump's media

exactly why they're too corrupt to be referred to as news

i do think though republicans have something of a multiple personality on this subject. Look at o'reilly and the alabama governor and then look at trump...in his 5th or whatever marriage and still worshiped as a 'proper christian'
