An independent Trump/Russia probe?

Do you prefer having an independent-prosecutor investigate Trump/Russia questions?

It seems pretty obvious by now that the FBI, NSA and CIA haven't turned up anything useful. Maybe you guys should go back to that British guy with the National Enquirer style dossier. At least he turned up some results that fit what you already know about Trump.

I see that the "best" method for you is to refuse to investigate. The rest of us will face reality without cowering so pathetically.

Your comments makes zero sense. He plead no contest and settled the civil suit. He plead to an agreement to give up his license to practice law. He undeniably committed perjury while on civil trial for sexual harassment and he undeniably suborned perjury while on civil trial for sexual harassment. Because of his actions (lying under oath and suborning perjury) he was impeached. Yes...the vote was near purely partisan (though 5 democrats did vote for impeachment because...oh yeah...he was undeniably guilty)...and how sad is that when the evidence very clearly showed that he was guilty of everything he was accused of?

Funny how rats 'care' about womens issues...except when it is one of their own. Trump made the comment that when you are a celebrity they let you grab them by the ***** and leftists are still ****ting themselves over it. Bill Clinton literally raped a woman, groped another in the WH, and sexually harassed yet another and all leftists can do is say...but...but...it was just a blowjob.

Because...they 'care'...

Thank you for making the argument for why an independent prosecutor is necessary. As you say, this falls along partisan lines, as Nunes has demonstrated to a scandalous extent. If you can acknowledge partisanship in Congress, and if you can accept the place of an independent prosecutor in that circumstance, then you can appreciate the need for one now.

It is about the current investigations into Russia and the Trump administration. Let's try to stay focused on the OP poll question plz.

While it's tempting to want to take the thread in the direction of relitigating the Clinton years, it's useful so as to point out that an independent prosecutor has been used in the past, and for far less egregious offenses. It's important to understand the historical context so as not to think that calling for an independent prosecutor is some extraordinary or unique event.

Quite right. There are numerous examples of an independent investigator in the annuls of US history.
