No, Trump definitely shouldn't apologize. There are so many ways around what Trump said.

Joe Biden could have ordered the wiretapping...
The DNI director could have ordered the wiretapping...
There could have been a blanket wiretapping request of everyone working under Trump...
There could have been an ordered wiretapping of one individual and then it simply spread to the entire Trump Tower.
All of Trump's US properties could have been under wiretapping...
etc...

We know that there were lots and lots of wiretapping going on. Trump absolutely should not apologize.

Pure paranoid fantasy refuted by the DOJ, the FBI, GOP Representative Nunes, etc., etc. Grow up and give it up!

By the way, you can add Comey to the list of people he owes an apology to. He misrepresented Comey's statement on election hacking and hilariously Comey rebutted him almost in real time.

Is the investigation over?

As far as the wire-tapping of Trump Tower, yes. This investigation of Trump and his associates collusion with the Russian government is ongoing.

So you have evidence that there were no wiretaps at all? We know for a fact that there were wiretaps. The distractions come from people like you who are saying "oh Obama didn't order the wiretaps" while not acknowledging that any other methods of wiretapping could have been approved of. Trump shouldn't apologize to anyone. Obama should be apologizing to Trump.

I almost have to admire that in the face of confirmations by the FBI and DOJ that there were no wiretaps, you don't back down.

You're a true believer I'll stop trying to discourage you!

^ Well, this shows you didn't watch the hearings.

Comey went into detail about what tall measures have to be taken to "wiretap" and it involves all three branches. It's quite extensive. And it's been that way since the late 70's.

By the way, you know what Trump has been doing instead of Presidenting for the past four hours? That's right, you guessed it: he's been watching the hearing and tweeting about it nonstop.

Since the left never believes anything Donald Trump says is true anyway from the beginning, including this, why should he apologize to them? It isn't like they believed it, relied upon it, or got anything from it except some fresh gravel to stick down the barrel of their always firing canon.

I'm not so sure.

I assume diehard Trumpbot's defense of their messiah will be as nonsensical and downright goofy as Sean Spicer's is.

It's true that roughly 30% of what Trump says is not misleading. But why is it my job to figure out if any statement is one of those true statements? Isn't it simply more efficient to assume that anything he says is one of the 70% of statements that are false and just learn otherwise after the fact?

Why assume either if it really doesn't affect you in any meaningful way? I have largely learned to ignore the President no matter who it is.

Because he's my President. Ignoring him is like being a young child and choosing to ignore a malevolent parent who's emotionally abusive and lies all the time. Sure, you can claim you're going to ignore the parent, but good luck with that.

He should apologize because that's about the most humiliating thing that can happen to him, and goodness knows that man could stand to learn a little humility. Maybe then he'll start to act like a president, vs. a Jersey Shore cast reject. Maybe he'll think twice before ripping on Twitter like some kind of looney, and act with a little class....

Having a tantrum over something that doesn't impact your life sounds more childish to me.

Unless the left changes how they react at the drop of a pin to whatever he tweets, then he is not going to change the way he tweets. He likes the attention. The more you give to him, the more he will do it as the overreaction by the left just reinforces his message to the right that he is "draining the swamp" when he really isn't doing anything that will affect most people yet, unless they waded across the river and aren't citizens to begin with.

Now that it has been established by testimony from both the FBI and the DOJ that there is no evidence whatsoever that the wiretaps occurred, should POTUS Trump publicly apologize for making the accusations?

He might want to react less forcefully on unconfirmed tv news.

Ya ya ya, the Left, look at the Left, whatever you do, don't look at the Pres, I get it. But at some point, given (I assume) he's your guy (or their guy, wherever the responsibility for this should go), don't you / they want some basic class here? I mean, let's be honest, he's a laughing stock, and this is just one more chuckle to add to the list. Yes, your citizens not in support of this gong show are, rightfully, outraged that this donkey has been given control, and that's one thing, clearly not your / their problem, but on some level, where you're / they're really really honest with yourself / themselves...are you not just a touch annoyed that your president is being looked at by the rest of the world as a dunce at best, and a dangerous disgrace at worst, and that's he's doing nothing to get that under control, but rather seems to have the pedal to the metal to make it worse?

Not trying to be overly confrontational, as I'm in the lucky position of *not* being impacted directly (though let's face it, you're America, we're all affected), just trying to understand how die hards are still behind this donut.

Support your claims.

Trying to reason with Trump supporters at this point is absolutely futile.

Let me know when was the last time you personally volunteered to be publicly humiliated was? That you expect the President or anybody else to volunteer for public humiliation to accommodate their opponents is naive at best. It isn't going to happen.

So now we're supposed to ignore the President as though he is just a troll trying to **** with Americans? If that is the case then he needs to be impeached immediately because this isn't a game for kicks.

If that was the standard then at the very least 90% of our politicians would have to be impeached.

You could be advocating for policies; you could be raising money and getting candidates to run for office; you could be raising money for PBS or Meals on Wheel to replace their cuts in funding. There are lots of things you could be doing. Demanding apologies that you will never get seems not very constructive to me.

Trump should apologize as a matter of ethics or etiquette, but Trump holds neither aspect dear so don't hold your collective breath.

The OP made claims in regards to the DOj and The FBI saying that "there is no evidence whatsoever".
That is a false claim. Period.

Comey said; "I have no information that supports those tweets,". He reiterated the same for the DOJ.

Not having said information does not not mean said information does not exists.
Only a partisan hack would think otherwise. Trying to get a partisan hack to acknowledge the reality of that is what is futile.
