This is not about Trump's allegations of wiretapping. I am however curious to know how trustful people are of the government in regards to gathering information on its citizens.



I feel that it is very likely that the US illegally gathers information on US citizens the question for me is how prevalent and widespread is it.

Absolutely, the US has illegally collected on US citizens and such programs were expanded upon under Obama. But was Obama personally wire taping Trump to usurp him and begin his shadow government? No. Of course not.
