Not at all. What i pointed out is why advertising leans more towards a woman than a man. A fairly sensible reason as it makes money for them. Where as so far the best excuse i have heard from this lot is just someone whinging about how men are treated badly and giving perfectly misogynistic crap for reasons as to why it is happening.

This lot so far have no clue how advertising work or what it's purpose is. Instead they actually act as if an add for something should be treated as if it were to be taken as a serious opinion about anything.
They really do display there own gullibility by what they say. Advertisers know quite well that people remember things that annoy them which is the purpose of advertising, to get people to think about the add. These guys do nothing more than advertise the fact that such a technique does work by wasting there time complaining about adds.

And although i agree with cephus i also understand that that too is another win for the advertiser who just got some publicity through this site if an add is shown.

These guys silly complaints are actually rewarding the ones they are complaining about.

Nope. You are saying that advertising is aimed at women and that is fine. Where you fail is that you justify what is essentially male bashing behavior because it is aimed at women. If these types of ads that degrade men are what women want to see then the real issue is that women are insecure and that the advertising, that you support, is misandrist.

No. It doesn't annoy me. I find it funny because like most men I have a sense of humour. Women apparently don't. They need to be shown as independent, powerful and in control. These ads indicated that if these ads really work on women, that women are in serious need of personal therapy.

Yes, whether or not the reasons are profit orientated, which they probably are: women apparently love being portrayed as superior/intelligent/in-control in contrast to the man seeing as nearly every TV ad is meticulously and painstakingly reviewed and revised with the feedback of focus groups consisting of the target audience; they don't hit airtime without extensive vetting and nearly everything about these ads is deliberate.

Also don't forget pretty much every modern sitcom.

It's bad here in the US. Any show on TV is typically just like you describe, unless the man is gay. Then all of a sudden, he is the most competent human being on earth.

A few months back I asked my wife to pay attention to advertisements because I noticed this very thing happening. I wanted to get her take on the commercials. Know what she saw? No sexism what so ever. She would remember the commercials which showed empowered women but couldn't remember a thing about the male being portrayed as incompetent bumbling fools. Until I pointed it out in the same exact commercials which she was remembering.

You really have no clue do you. Advertising is not there to make you buy things, it is there to make you remember things and talk about things and bring it peoples attention. Hating it or loving it makes no difference. Except for the fact that people tend to discuss more about what annoys them than what they like. So you lot are doing nothing more than promoting whatever product you have picked as an example advertisement. You play their game and they are winning.

That never works on me though. I pretty much only buy what I need and nothing else. Well, other than video games and computer parts that is. As for games, I only buy them from Steam and I avoid games with bull**** themes that I hate like feminist bull**** games like Witcher or whatever it is.

The therapy really is needed by the person who so lacks a life that all he can do is complain about something so easily ignored.

What does the wage gap have to do with this? Women demonstrate traits that advertisers can easily gear themselves towards and despite any wage discrepencies women are still moving into the workforce and becoming wage earners and consumers.

Watching what the sellers are selling and what they figure will work on us is a trip. My God they have gotten so manipulative, so dismissive of their customers....or is it prisoners because for so long so many fell for their mind control tricks and sold their brain space like the cheapest of whores.
