Trump has quite a business history with Russians, some of them with shady or criminal backgrounds. Russian money bailed Trump out of bankruptcy when no western bank would lend Trump a penny due to his bad business decisions, his net worth and his limited assets. We don't really know what Trump owns. We do know that he is a minor partner in some (most? all?) of his businesses? In many instances we do not know who his business partners are or where their money comes from. We do know that Russian money of dubious origin prevented Trump from bankruptcy at least once and maybe more than once.

Do you believe that Trump is susceptible to blackmail by Putin? Why? Why not?

We don't really know. I should have thought Obama would have. If he did, it would seem severely negligent and probably criminal to have concealed that knowledge.

Could you post any credible link on any shady or criminal activity by Trump with the Russians.

Also if there was any credible link why didn't the democratic party reveal it before the election, I mean they accused Trump of every conceivable thing imaginable they could think of, so just how did they have missed that one?

Very possibly.

And for all the reasons you mentioned above.

Including the troubles, legal or otherwise, of Manafort, Page, Flynn, and others in Trump's inner circle.

But the reason there's possibility & speculation, is because he wasn't properly vetted via his tax returns. A grave fault IMO, of those that used their vote to place him in office. Sorry about that to those otherwise principled Trump voters, who held their noses while voting for him because they believed it was imperative to attempt change or avoid a Clinton-Bush Monarchy. But it should have been insisted upon, IMHO.

No, I don't. We have no reason whatsoever to believe that he has done anything wrong regards Putin.

I doubt it. His dealing with Russia and Russians involved him building projects in Russia with their money and them investing in Trump's properties in the US, beauty pageants in Moscow, and selling vodka. A honey trap is unlikely with Trump since he is pretty much a boy scout in that regard. (And if he did fool around there, so what? Shouldn't progressives be applauding his liberal attitude toward sex?) He goes home to the wife and kids at the end of the day. I'm sure if there was anything like that out there we'd have heard of it by now, and in fact we have, but it all turned out to be fake.

Shady activity by Trump with Russians? That's the point isn't it? I can provide credible links to activities by Trump with Russian criminals. His activities with Russian criminals are broad and deep. They warrant investigation.

If there were no dark issues, Trump should have been proud as a peacock to release his tax returns and set up a true blind-trust to manage his business empire.

My intuition and common sense apprise me that Donald J. Trump is using both fortune and power to conceal something.

In my lifetime, I've never before seen a sitting or former US president affect such subservience to a Russian dictator.
