From the article:
"We saw what happened when millions of us stood together in January,

Ummm, what happened?

As best I can tell it proved nothing, accomplished nothing, and generally failed.

Yeah, because skipping work is totally going to motivate people to side with you.

I'll be working, because I don't have any benefits, and cannot afford to skip a day of work.

I am not currently employed  ........ I am semi retired but I am seeking employment but not aggressively :2wave:

I have a lot of cigars that need to be smoked, which is time consuming ;) & it's gonna B convertible weather here B4 long too

will I be working on March 8? Ask me on March 7 :2razz:

Yeah. A lot of Americans got to laugh at grown women dressed up as vajjays. Even one of my twin daughters, who leans pretty heavily to the left laughed at them.

Soon? Its two wheel weather now. Ice is gone, its riding time.

There may be some prospective job openings for others on March 9th. The love probably doesn't reach into employer's offices.

Had a position open this week. Gal pointed out.

There may likely be a job surplus across the nation after the 8th.

I'm self employed and don't have employees. If I took off nobody would know but I would be out some money. So, yeah, I'll probably work.

The only thing that might happen on March 8 is a bunch of people won't get paid. They might not have jobs after that.

i doubt that i'll be taking the day off. however, i will be voting for as long as i'm kicking.

I also am retired. But I think on March 7 everybody should go an apply for a job at Carls Jr or Hardees and then call in sick on the 8th.

Which is exactly their point. You cons want them to be indentured servants who can't ever stand up for themselves, even with a month of notice

I haven't 'worked' in over 20 years (I am an investor).

The 8'th won't be any different.

There's this thing called consequences for one's actions. Heard of it? I would expect that ANYONE taking unauthorized time off work would suffer consequences for doing so.

That's bullcrap.

You chose not to work, you chose to not get paid. Simple as that.
Why should your employer be shorthanded because of your political beliefs?

Now if you take a vacation day, giving your employer notice in advance and it's approved, so that you can go pretend you're on "strike" that's different.

I know no one who plans to strike. There will no doubt be a good showing . . . students . . . people on the dole . . . perhaps salaried people will take a sick day . . . Retired women with nothing else to do . . . But will very many women give up $50 out of pocket to strike? Doubtful.

Especially not single moms.

I work everyday, so March 8th won't be any different.
