Republicans didn't vote for Trump because they wanted someone "presidential." They voted to "turn him into a missile and aim it at Washington" (their words, not mine). They specifically wanted a bad president, and now they just can't understand why everybody is so upset at him.

Not everybody, I'm not upset at all in fact he is plowing away at his promises and moving faster than any president before him. You on the left are scared to death he will grow this economy and create jobs. Rebuild our military and rid this country of the failed O'Care and close our border. Etc Etc everything on Trump's list you are against. Look at your party, it has no clue about anything, they are still in denial they lost. Now you have Elizabeth Warren (far left wacko) emerging as your leader. She will surely bring your party around to winning votes.

It depends on the President you compare him with.

Oh please he's at a level all his own that no president has attained when it comes to audacity and vulgar behavior. At least not one in our modern times. Who are you kidding?

He's not going anywhere on his promises if he doesn't go through the right channels. And obviously he thinks if he says it, it will be done. He has no concept of the three branches of government.

I predict he will end up getting less done than any of his predecessors. But he will do damage to the office and the country. God help us if this idiot gets us into a war or a depression.

Trump, act Presidential? Hell, at this point, I'd settle for him acting like he's past the 8th grade.

Trump is actually competing in the marketplace of ideas. Opponents of his are in the slime like the lying Democratic leadership.

Harry Reid lied about Mitt Romney in the well of the Senate, the hypnotized members of the agenda driven press performed their stenographic duty to their party and published the lies as facts, and, later, Harry Reid justified the lie by saying that Romney lost.

If Trump is going to fight fire, he needs to use fire.

If you like their lies, you can keep their lies. Most people don't. Trump is cutting through their noise. His words are clear, blunt and hit hard. If you can't stand the heat...

Americans' Trust in Mass Media Sinks to New Low | Gallup

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Americans' trust and confidence in the mass media "to report the news fully, accurately and fairly" has dropped to its lowest level in Gallup polling history, with 32% saying they have a great deal or fair amount of trust in the media. This is down eight percentage points from last year.

He's not going to do anything well, because he's an idiot and he's incompetent. He was a one trick pony: he knew how to market himself to a specific segment of the population, and in that area he is quite clever. At everything else he's been an absolute doofus. And he will continue to unite public sentiment against himself because he's clumsy and incapable of learning or improving himself. If you think 46% of the country wanting him impeached is good for the Republican agenda or his own policies (which he hasn't actually crafted, by the way) then you're living in a dream world.

Stupid poll. Nobody feels that he is acting "presidential" but, that is why voters wanted someone different. They didn't want someone being "presidential", they wanted someone who would make America Great Again and put America first. They were tired of presidents being "presidential".

Derp!

I think there are many who like the approach of cowardly bowing and kissing behinds.

Hiding under the bed wetting your pants or going to a fund raiser while Americans are slaughtered at an annex is, to many, a great approach to leadership.

At least half of Trump's supporters think that the Bowling Green Massacre justifies Trump's Muslim ban. Just sayin'.

You are really into the hyperbole aren't you? That and false statements.

He seems to be getting his way quite a bit...

Yeah that muslim ban went well for him didn't it?

What planet do you live on? Sure he's forced his cabinet picks through thanks to repubican control of the house and senate but what happens when he really had to govern? I suspect the rats will jump the ship at some point anyway when they can't take his looney toons anymore.

And don't forget they still believe Obama is a muslim and wasn't born in the U.S.

I feel that it is important for the President to act diplomatically, tactfully, and respectfully.

Do you think Trump meets this standard?

No ... he often does not meet your standard ... but the Oath of Office doesn't either ... it doesn't even mention your name.

And don't forget they still believe Obama is a muslim and wasn't born in the U.S.

A new documentary needs to be made in order to understand how information reaches these people. The Trump supporters on this forum are exposed to real facts, so what they repeat they do so cognizant of the truth. But there appears to be an entire segment of the population that genuinely believes the Bowling Green massacre and birtherism, and I wonder what their information pipeline is, exactly.

Just saying that Trump is no different now than when voters voted for him. They knew he was not presidential. They didn't want someone presidential. They wanted someone who would turn DC upside down. What has Trump been doing? Exactly what voters wanted. He has turned DC upside down.

I feel that it is important for the President to act diplomatically, tactfully, and respectfully.

Do you think Trump meets this standard?

No, he doesn't. However, is how you behave more important that results?

No you don't. All you have to do is pay attention.

Jobs up.
People re-entering the workforce is up.
DOW Industrials is at record.
Nasdaq is at record.
S&P 500 is at record close.
Russell 2000 is at record close.

It seems as if paying attention will show that people are recovering the Hope that Obama changed right out of them.

Bill Clinton was elected president because voters felt he connected with them and understood them. He was one of the "guys". Donald Trump was elected president because voters felt he connected with them and understood them. He was one of the "guys". The voters were tired of someone being presidential and being politically correct (a phrase which means being a liar).

It also means being a globalist elitist.

To the contrary, I know that "everybody", as you put it, is so upset at him.

I had a problem with Carpenter Ants and killed them. I assume they were upset with me in an ant kind of a way.

I understand exactly why "everybody" is so upset with him. If I was them, I'd be upset, too.

I'm not one of them. I like trump. He is trying to do something to undo what the idiots and sycophantic fools in Washington DC have been trying to do for years.

The rest of the country is or should be rooting him on. The folks who want jobs realize that they get jobs from those who have jobs to give.

They also realize that looking to Political Party that actively campaigns to eliminate jobs is not going to assist them in getting jobs. Go figure...

Eh. Clumsy wording. I should have gone with "46% of the country that wants him impeached."

I had a problem with Carpenter Ants and killed them. I assume they were upset with me in an ant kind of a way.

Sorry to hear about your carpenter ant problem. Hope you were able to deal with them.

They were tired of politicians who lie, so they elected Trump?

That's like the claim that they made when Romney lost that he wasn't "conservative" enough, so they elected Obama.

If you can't understand that analogy, which I'm sure there are some who won't, ask one of the thousands of Muslims from New Jersey who celebrated the attack on the WTC, or perhaps one of the three million illegals who voted for Hillary. I'm sure they can explain it for you.

I seem to remember people posting here that there has never been a case proven that anyone ever voting illegally in an American election.

Were among those who made that claim?

In a recent survey, about 6.4% of respondents said they voted illegally. In a recent court case a woman was convicted of voting using forged credentials and therefore voting illegally.

There are problems with the election process that can be pretty easily corrected by implementing the same stringent safeguards required to pick up a pack at Walmart.

Seems to me there's plenty of reason to pursue the facts in this.

That said, I'm not going to try to defend the rantings of Trump any more than I would demand that you defend the rantings of the Liberal lie machine.

Trump - Presidental ?
Don't make me laugh, its too early in the day . OR
Archie Bunker is Presidental ....

The people who voted for Mr. Trump did not expect him to act presidential. They expected him to be a blustering, autocratic, buffoon just like he was on TV. They wanted Mr. "You're Fired!" and that's what they got.

I was unable to participate in the poll because it is directed at Republicans and Democrats and I am neither.

Can you quote somebody claiming that "there has never been a case proven that anyone ever voting illegally in an American election"? Because I don't ever remember seeing that claim myself.

What do you mean by presidential? There are some Republicans who actually are more racist and bigoted than Trump but they would be more "presidential". Would that be satisfactory to you?
