Yes, yes, we know you are a fan of North Korea Dave. We get it. No need to completely discredit yourself.

Nope, you've made it very clear you are a fan of the Kim family and their ****ty dictatorship on another thread.

Of course not, it is still the United States we are talking about. Now there might be issues legally, culturally, etc. etc. and maybe some deranged idiot will use violence to make his point, but no, no civil war with weapons/deaths/state against state fighting.

But 4 years of Trump will most likely be more damaging than 8 years of Obama.

And it may well lead to a revolt against those who let him do what he wanted without being a check and balance system for the US society. It is not for nothing that some republicans are questioning decisions by the president.

One thing that will help a lot is Trump giving up his twitter nonsense. He is president, not bully and chief.

Is america heading for a civil war? Historically the country has not been this divided since the civil rights movement, but more troubling is that the govt itself has not been this opposed to or disruptive against a president since lincoln was elected.

It feels like the cards are falling in place, the wheels in motion, and the hamsters spinning those wheels working overtime. With govt officials in the white house even opposing trump and leaking information that should not be leaked, it seems the govt itself is divided, and I wonder how long before people start taking sides and fighting it out.

In this civil war you see coming, what would the issues be?

I don't think it is enough to be for Trump or against him.

If a civil war happened I do not thing it would be the north vs south anymore, in todays climate it would be a catastrophic cluster**** between red and blue states.

It wold be the north east coast mid atlantic up, and the west coast.

They would lose as they disarmed themselves.

They would lose because they would expect others to do the fighting for them.

In terms of picking up arms against each other? No. But the partisan divide is going to grow deeper, more resentful, more hate-filled, and more volatile. For sure.

That would however require an impeachable offense. I personally see a civil war if the country heads in this direction, but not one very soon. The first civil war took decades of tarrifs and fights and secession threats from the south before the slavery issue threw them overboard.

But despite the division, things are reversable, if trump stays where he is with no impeachable offenses(not liking the guy is not an impeachable offense) and the country unites to atleast support him even if they disagree, things may go well. If the country continues to be more opposed and divisive against him just for the sake of being against him, I can see a civil war eventually.

Impeachable offense? That is the easy part. It has never been hard for Congress to drum up and impeachable offense when the will was there. Trump is laden with them, particularly around issues of the emoluments clause.

No, Dave. I'm just quoting your exact words back to you. Perhaps you would like to renounce your support of the Kim regime?

Please quote the exact words from the post by me that you allude to or baptize yourself as a blatant liar.

The war is really between big cities and the rest of the country. That's pretty much an impossible war for either side to win. It's not just a North South thing. Even California is mostly red, except for the large city areas. I don't really know of a way to make both sides happy, unless both are willing to compromise on moderation. Right now both sides just want to cram their values on everyone.

Mexico might want a piece of the action...and they have guns.

Yesterday I voted NO and have given this some thought since then.

I do think there is a chance of civil war that is best to occur as follows: Trump own mental illness of extreme narcissism and the inability to distinguish truth from lies gets the better of him and he makes a series of blunders that even the GOP cannot continue to turn a blind eye to. Rather than publicly humiliate their own President, the GOP privately counsels Trump to resign. He refuses. A brief time goes by and he does more mentally unbalanced things forcing the hand of the GOP congressional leaders and charges of impeachment are filed against Trump.

Rather than face the music, Trump takes extraordinary steps dissolving Congress and declaring martial law when the public resists his power grab. Violence results.

I can see that happening with a decent chance of something along those lines materializing.

Of course there is always a probability that the worst might happen. And there are groups talking in hysteria and demanding that the breaching of Constitutional rights go on as it has. This can be legitimately interpreted by the others as a casus belli. So the devide is certainly wide and deep enough to cause unrest. And the liberals do seem arrogant enough to force the issue without realizing the dangers, till it's too late.

I doubt it.

As me again in about six months though.

Pfff. The 82nd Airborne could turn Mexico into the 51st State with little air support.

Not that we'd want them.

I believe there will be a civil war but in 40 years.

But who will fight who and what will the end result be? To generalize, the main problem is we have liberal big cities vs conservative everything else. Will the red areas get their guns and go to war against the big cities? And, even in the big cities, many of the suburbs are red also. If this is the kind of war we are going to have the large inner cities might as well run up their white flag now.

I think martial law may already be on Bannon's...er uh Trump's agenda. They're just waiting for the right opportunity...and it could be anything from a violent protest to another terrorist attack. All in the name of "national security".

Wow. You guys really have an active imagination. Your obsession with hating Trump is clouding your judgment.
