Is Trump Good or Bad?

He seems ok to me.

Trump is a taking America to hell on a sliding board. In addition he has surrounded himself with bad people who have little or no idea what they are doing. If Trump plans to be a president for all America rather than the 25% of the voting population who elected him he's not showing it.

So far he's doing what he said he was going to do and, despite the wailing and gnashing of teeth, he hasn't burned anyone at the stake or nuked anyone.

I wasn't so sure what we were going to get with Trump but so far he has done none of the damage that was predicted and actually made some decent moves. He's definitely not a politician and that's going to take some getting used to but so far so good.

What should be telling is that the majority of those who voted for him won't provide a clear picture of a post-Trump America. And those who do have been utterly terrifying.

You want to know what a post Trump America will look like? No problem.

We'll be putting one of these up in a neighborhood near you within the next 4 years.

Pretty sure whoever made that stole it from The Daily Show.

The Daily Show really, really needs Jon Stewart back

I think Trevor Noah has really started to come into his own. Frankly I was happy to see Jon pack up and take his impressions with him. I don't know who he kept impersonating but there's this one that would make him go "Ewwwww...." Every time he did that I wanted to drive a truck through the front of my house and into the tv.

I am on record as not being a cheerleader for Trump here at DP. But I have to say, two weeks in office and he has certainly eased my skepticism.

In all my life through a number of elections, never have I seen a President Hell bent on fulfilling his promises to the people.

Never ever

He's gruff in his language and not Political Correct but dang what two first weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Come on, Luther, this is ridiculous.

Trump has only been in office 12 days.

Threatening to invade our neighbors will definitely take some getting used to.

I voted "Good" (although there is seldom if ever such a thing as absolute good or evil in any human) for exactly the bolded reason above.

Right, wrong, or indifferent...at least the man is trying to do exactly what he said he would do.

I like a man that agrees with the policies I think should have been in place long ago...

I think Trump is a spoiled brat who has lived in an ivory tower and has almost no clue whatsoever how the real world works PLUS he is incredibly arrogant, thin skinned and possesses an IQ of around average at best.

Plus he has the class of a used car salesman/televangelist...but he is a truly EXCEPTIONAL used car salesman/televangelist. He can talk ignorant/weak/desperate people into almost anything and informed/confident/contented people into almost nothing.

I don't think he is bad or good. I don't think he means bad and he may even mean some good. But he is just spoiled and slimy...not slick (like Bill Clinton was) - slimy.

Well, it's been only 12 days since the Inauguration. (So much for a "honeymoon.") All the thread-heads about how he's the "worst ever" just make me shake my head.

I'm retracting this post. The article I pulled this from doesn't have enough confirmation for my liking.

example of an alternative fact from my progressive perspective

LOL.

A few weeks ago my wife texted me some kind of photo collection of the interior of Trump's home/apartment/whatever in NYC. To be honest it is pretty gaudy. Lots of gold and rococo schlepped all over the place. It looks like an upscale Greek restaurant inside.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of his style but, then again, he's never invited me over for a beer so all I know is what I see on TV.

Too soon to tell!

Yes. I agree. 12 days is too soon to make a judgement call. However, a large number of people will never make a judgement call. They have already determined what kind of president he will be no matter what the future holds.

I wish people would learn to let the election season end when it ends instead of carrying over the nonsensical rhetoric for 8 years. Oh well. This is America. We have the freedom to complain. It's really a beautiful thing if you look at it close enough.

If you get invited over to his house you'll be drinking Trump Vodka or nothing. I heard he has a **** load of Trump Vodka stacked up in a spare room. ;)

I think its funny how his supporters say stuff like "I have never seen a president work so hard and fast to do what he said he was going to do."

To that, I would sort of agree in that, yes, he is moving much faster implementing what he campaigned on than any other president would, but that is because any other president would actually put some thought into how best to implement what they campaigned on before just going out and signing their decrees and showing them to the cameras.

Would you rather have Clinton in office who couldn't even get 75% of the country to vote for her?? (see, I can play silly games with numbers too)
