Mark Zuckerberg has no plans to run for president, the Facebook founder and CEO told BuzzFeed News Tuesday.

"No," Zuckerberg wrote in response to a question about his intent to run. "I'm focused on building our community at Facebook and working on the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative," referring to the limited-liability corporation he and his wife, Priscilla Chan, founded in 2015 to advance human potential and promoting equality through major bets in education and science research. Zuckerberg did not immediately respond to follow-up questions about whether he'd explicitly ruled out a run.

Zuckerberg would make a terrible president.

He couldn't be any worse than President Creamsicle.

Let him hold some lower offices first and then we'll reconvene.

Zuckerberg would make a terrible president.

America has already shown that amateur hour in DC is perfectly acceptable... that said, just because the average US voter fails to understand the need for experience and temperament in the position doesn't make it safe or right.

So, even though Zuckerberg has shown that he is indeed concerned about others rather than himself, like the current guy, he still lacks the right stuff, so 'No'.

America decided that it wanted to use a lower standard for determining the leader of the free world than they would use for choosing where to get their pants tailored.

And what is the right stuff? The stuff that led to where we are now? Nafta, tarp, fully one employment rate in shambles, huge income inequality, destroyed middle class, out of control military spending, etc?

Define insanity.

I get images of a "Logan's Run" society just thinking about the possibility.

Dude, I love reading your posts, and agree with much of what you say but....dude, you just dated yourself...you're old. Somehow, I always thought of you as being younger...

Well, he is probably worth 8-10 times what Trump is so doesn't that make him 8-10 times more qualified? ;)

I have no opinion on whether or not he should run since I know nothing about his politics. But he would be 36 years old in 2020. I realize that meets the Constitutional cutoff but it feels too young to me. Perhaps that is ageist of me.

The left is in the crapper next they will put Madonna up and she can hand out more BJ's for votes .

I despise the Facebook...so I am guessing 'no'.

Please don't be so hard on Obama. He did the best that a community organizer could do.

I would say that being an arrogant, ignorant, thinned-skinned narcissistic man-child with NO government experience is all the wrong stuff. Not only do I think that, but editorial boards of EVERY major US Newspaper, of both conservative and liberal proclivities, agree.

Once again, a guy with no clue what a community organizer actually is. Of course, in addition to doing grass roots politics to help empower under-privileged communities, Obama was also a constitutional scholar. Two very sound qualifications for POTUS.

You mean like his hometown of Chicago where there is a killing spree the likes of which never seen before.

No, I mean like his hometown of Chicago, home of the world champion Cubs.

You nailed that one, calling out the last 8 years of Obama

And a state Senator and US Senator. Curious how they always leave that out.

And to answer the poll, my answer is no. Smart man, really changed how the world communicates, but he's still going to be way too young. Let's ask this question again in 2024 when he's 40.

And while he's overwhelmingly more intelligent than the narcissistic doofus in the oval office, that whole "government experience" thing is awful important.

Zuckerberg would make a terrible president.

I find your poll a little strange...you ask this question, after Zuckerberg flatly stated he has no plans to run, and you further say he would make a terrible president....what was the point of this poll?

You might ask the question will Hillary run again and again.
