I doubt it will happen while the Republicans control Congress so my guess is such a thing wouldn't happen unless the Democrats take control. So at least 2 years.

That's all it is is just a guess. I'm thinking within one year, though your point about the Rep Congress is a good one.

I don't think he will, unless the democrats try some slimy corrupt method of doing so. I remember Republicans threatening to do the same to Obama(trying to find every way possible for impeachment, but they had enough respect for the rules to not get anywhere with that). I don't have the same confidence the democrats would do the same, they will justify any action on the basis Trump is literally Hitler.

That's my prediction as well. If republicans will be as obedient to the party in collusion as they were in opposition, two years is the lower bound.

Do you have some particular law in mind that you think Trump has or will violate at some point? I think democrats will accuse him of anything and everything, but I don't know that any of it will be serious.

I can see him being libelous, easily. Whether that's a 'serious crime', I don't know.

Second sentence you identify one of the major horror shows by the Republican caucus amid their six years of playing "gotcha" with Obama, which stalled and divided the nation.

The the third sentence you say they are the only one's to be trusted....

There has only ever been one case of criminal libel successfully executed in North America.....1970, the newspaper for Regina university was charged with criminal libel following the election where Ross Thatcher lost. They had run a headline: "God votes late - Thatcher Dead!

And yes, Ross was wife murderer Colin's father.

They KNOW he isn't Hitler or any of the other dishonest things they accuse him. They are terrified that he will actually show them up as proponents of the weak, ineffective, and sometimes downright destructive and harmful ideology of progressivism and will actually shake up the status quo that they defend and will accomplish some good things.

Will they look for a prosecutable something to accuse him? Oh sure. Will they find one? I don't think so. For all his failings as a person and for all his political incorrectness and volatile tweets that sometimes frustrate us all, he's nobody's dummy. And he consults the best legal advice money can buy.

So they will continue to trot out all the hateful and dishonest talking points and code words in an attempt to discredit and disable him as much as possible. And they will continue to lose the respect of intellectually honest people who put him into the Presidency or who are willing to now give him an honest chance.

It depends on how much leash he allows with Sessions on the Clinton situations. I figure between 10 and 30 days.

The Republican Congress inoculates him against any investigation for at least the first two years, and considering the numerical unlikelihood of Democrats gaining back control in 2018, he won't face investigation for the entirety of the four year term.

The proper remedy for criminal acts by a serving President is impeachment. Because impeachment and conviction does not prevent criminal charges, he could still be prosecuted for crimes once out of office.

Just imagine for a moment how the Right would have reacted if Hillary won the electoral but lost the popular by more than a million, just entertain that hypothetical for a moment......yeah, shame on us for being a bit pissed....

Well you might want to start coming to terms with the fact that we don't wrongfully imprison political dissidents in this country, unless your candidate President-Elect Trump gets his way.
