Either I am being unclear or you are being dense......I did not say I wanted the popular vote to select the president. Could it be that the term "popular mandate" is confusing you?

I don't know if that will happen and I hope it doesn't. I want all presidents to be a good president.

But I will say I wouldn't be surprised if it did happen because he simply doesn't know anything about the job and "could" possible just ignore any advice he gets but I think its more likely there will just be some lower level scandal.

If he fails to divest himself of his businesses he could very easily violate the Emoluments Clause.

And he won't, so it's really all about who's in charge of Congress.

I'm looking back and trying to figure out if there was ever a time that I was more cynical than I am right now, and I'm coming up empty.
