Did Israel invade other countries along the way, or how were they able to expand? I admit I'm not knowlegeable about this subject, so forgive my ignorance, but what makes a 1967 map of land lines important here? Was the Agreement that was signed in 1948 not clear to all parties?

Some would say Isarel started the 67 war, others will say it was in self defence. If the 48 map was in effect Israel would be much smaler.

Do you support US Embassy move to Jerusalem?

Yes

No

Other

Some so-called pundits think that due to Israel cooperation, intel sharing and contacts with Arab countries on a shared enemy, Iran, will supplant any issues over an Embassy move to Jerusalem.

I think they are smoking. Yep, smoking really dumb stuff and pullese do not share as we have enough dumb ones as it is

No one has the ability to gauge how well the person in the street in these countries will react.
From attacks on embassies to massive demonstrations, which would cause a less open cooperation, and under the tale cooperation with Israel.
If the move occurs the US should prepare for a 3rd Intifada.

The headline is misleading...."the move to...." When in fact it is nothing but yet another utterance of a guy who lies 70% of the time and goes back on his word 80%

Should it actually arise as something more than Donald talk let us know.

The US has to be an impartial player. This would negate that. The repercussions thru the Arab world would be substantial with a possible 3rd intifada.
The US loses as it is seen as siding with Israel and not impartial. Look to past UN actions along with Military aid. This would be the nail in the coffin
Israel loses as contacts and cooperation with Arab countries could cease or substantially decrease. Iran gains in this.

Historically, the US does side with Israel (like a lapdog) and I don't know any one that considers us "impartial."

I was hoping that would change. But it looks like it won't be changing any time soon. I suspect we continue to rubber stamp and support Israel, unconditionally, regardless of any atrocities they may, or may not, commit.

Israel seems to control us by the nut sack. I wonder why that is?

Base politics with both parties. A strong Jewish lobby, evangelicals, the only democracy, to name a few

Because America is led by weak *****- ass politicians like Obama and Trump.

We've been lead around like a steer on a nose ring, by Israel, long before any of us ever heard of Trump and Obama.

Must be because they are "God's Chosen People." Indeed.

Yet people who are hypocrites refuse to acknowledge the quarter of Israel's population that is Muslim, and the pro-Palestine/pro-Islam political parties in Israel, and yet claim that those of us who criticize Israel are anti-Semites and NAZIS.

MAKES NO ****ING SENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disputed territory.
West Jerusalem is not disputed as another poster pointed out. Nor does it change the fact it is Israel's capital.

I believe Jerusalem is Israel's eternal capital. The only caution for me would be would it be more harmful to stability or not. I have no idea. But my leaning would be yes, put the U.S. Assembly in Jerusalem. As Benjamin Netanyahu has stated, both Israel and America are promise lands of freedom with a shared glorious destiny. I thought the Kerry Speech was so full of bad assumptions. I think the Dec 23 UN resolution is dangerous. The tea leaves are a blowing.

Obviously not; utterly counterproductive.

Change 'support' to 'care'...

...and the answer is 'no'.

No.

There is no reason to put more oil on a fire. Better stay put where they are.

At the risk of going against the grain here, yes, the US Embassy in Israel should be no different than any other embassy the US has across the globe and should be located in the capital of the host country -- Jerusalem in this instance. If we want to maintain Consulate offices in Tel Aviv as we have consulates in other major cities around the world, that's just fine.

I knew about the Netherlands, but a quick look showed that at least 3 countries (in addition to Israel) have their US embassy not in the capital.
- The Netherlands - Embassy is in the Hague and not in the capital Amsterdam.
- Malta - The embassy is in Ta' Qali instead of the capital Valetta.
- Holy See(Vatican) - Embassy is technically not even in the country but in neighbouring Italy, in Rome to be precise.
