NFL: PC, anti-male, social engineering [W:13]

The NFL moved most games to Saturday, that's fine. On Sunday, we get 4:30 pm and 8:30 pm games, but not a 1 pm game. This is PC crap. The NFL is trying to get men to spend time with "family" instead of watching a real man's game. It's an attempt to socially-engineer families to not be centered around the man. It's anti-male in that way as well as attempting to wussify us by depriving us of manly entertainment. What, are we supposed to watch a parade instead?

So, there it is. The NFL is a PC, social engineering anti-male organization.

I demand we get a 1 pm game in the future.

Sarcasm or not, but maybe, just maybe, they themselves wanted to spend more time with their family for a change. I understand it is a totally screwed-up idea to be forced to now have to spend time with your family yourself (if you have one that is of course), but there must be an old game you haven't watched yet that you can watch instead of Bambi, home alone or the sound of music, you never know... So why make more out of it than it is? It's changed. Deal with it. :)

Close, this is about the NFL's effort to brand themselves as pro women and pro family, and also them trying to grease the skids a little because the next labor contract is going to be brutal, this is the owners trying to buy some goodwill with labor.

America is just supposed to understand and get over them depriving us of football today.

back in the day, when there was still the NFL and AFL we used to get 2 games per NBC and 2 per CBS with sometimes a 5th game by either of the 2 on sunday. When MNF came along on ABC we had an extra game for the week and you didn't have to pay. The way it used to be.

Na, they just made room for Basketball. That Cleveland Cavalier, Golden State game was epic. It was far better than any football game I've seen so far this year, except maybe the OSU Michigan game. But, that was college. :)

That's why I watch games online. I can watch any game I want. It's great when you glance at the score ticker and spot a game that's tied or within a touchdown in the 4th quarter. I always flip to that game. I doubt I could ever go back to network TV after that.

well back then, we didn't have cable or anything else but the old antenna, but Sunday was a day of magic
 
Here's a thought, instead of watching football, play football. It is a game that people can play. And you can play it with your family in the back yard.

I'd much rather play touch in the backyard, than watch a bunch of juiced up millionaires play. We all need less time watching other people do physical activity, and more time doing the activity ourselves.

I hated it as a kid because I lived in Chicago but loved the Miami Dolphins. I usually had to wait until the playoffs to see them play. Bears totally stunk. I refused to watch them until Walter showed up. Even though they still stunk, he made watching worthwhile.
