Should Trump have an independent psychiatric evaluation prior to being sworn in?

Would you support Trump having an unbiased psychiatric evaluation?

There is no sanity prerequisite required for leading this nation. Nor should there be. Half of the shrink stuff is junk science.

I would support evaluating everyone who voted for him,but they all made that choice with their eyes wide open.

Don't you think every President should be checked? That way one could prevent most of them.

;)

Even if they were checked, you wouldn't know the outcome.

Medical histories are private.

There's that. On the other hand, exceptions could be made in cases of national security, I guess.

Its very interesting that a bunch of leftists that have consistently **** themselves any time someone has a differing opinion, collapse in a corner and sob because their side lost an election and are so mentally unhinged that they cant associate with anyone that dared to vote for an opposition candidate regardless of their reasoning should be worried about the mental health of "the other guy".

It wouldn't be a case of national security.

This is just curious people wanting to know something.

None of us wold be involved in a case of national security in any event.

Three psychiatrists have written a letter to President Obama expressing grave concern regarding Trump's mental health. They are calling for an independent unbiased psych eval. Would you support Trump being required to have a psychiatric evaluation prior to his being sworn in as president?

What could it hurt? If Trump has nothing to hide what could it hurt?

If it was a standard for all incoming Presidential cadidates... yes but not out of the blue here.

It couldn't hurt, lol. Seriously though (I know this is a tongue-in-cheek thread), anyone who hasn't been in a coma the past year knows Trump is a narcissistic ego-maniac and a pathological liar. They voted for him anyway. I doubt seeing those results signed by even a dozen professional psychiatrists would mean a damned thing to his supporters.

What are the political leanings of the psychiatrists?

Other.

Other because it has to be 'No' in my opinion. Too late to make a change. I like the concept for anyone who wants to announce he wants to run for president though. If I apply for a job I have to go for an interview, but someone who runs for president can just bull**** himself all the way up to president without any evaluation??? (And I mean CAN, not every candidate does this, although it seems to be getting more fashionable to do so...)This is very odd to say the least. Right now it practically does not matter what a candidate says as long as he convinces the majority of the population. And that is not an evaluation. Because you are asking people to make a decision without having the capacity to make this decision. An interview is taken by a director, department manager or an HR manager, but not by an average Joe working on the production line. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the either group of people, but the fact remains that the one group is more qualified to make such a decision than the other group. So yes evaluation, but evaluation BEFORE and not after the election. And this evaluation should include, but not be limited to, a psychiatric evaluation.
